This is the Amtrak NEC Rolling Stock Enhancement Mod for Train Simulator Classic. This mod completely overhauls the Amtrak Amfleet I's, Amfleet II's, baggage cars, and more with completely new sounds, physics, textures, features, and more!
Important Information:
Make sure you are using the Player version of the rollingstock, otherwise you will be using the AI rolling stock. You will have to make custom consists or use my preload consists.
Mod Information:
Added slow and fast rolling sounds.
Added randomized flat spot sounds.
Added HVAC sounds.
Added slow and fast flange sounds.
Changed joint sounds.
Added new door sounds. (You can choose from automatic door sounds, manual door sounds, and manual door sounds with steps.
Added departure radio sound.
Added Northeast Regional Cafe Car and Business Class.
Changed exterior and interior textures.
Added new passenger view cameras. (Left side, right side, and front and rear vestibules.)
Added marker light flares.
Known Issues:
Departure radio sounds can only be heard if the car is in sound range. (Unfixable without LUA scripting)
Original scenarios use AI trains.

Installation Instructions
Mod Installation:
Move the 'Assets' file from the 'AmtrakNECRollingStockEnhancementMod' file into '(your steam directory)\RailWorks'. If you get a prompt asking you to replace the files, select 'Replace All' to overwrite the old files. Run the 'Install NEC Rolling Stock.bat' file in the ‘Assets’ folder to install the GeoPxDx files. Enjoy!
Door Sound Installation:
Run the ‘Install NEC Rolling Stock Automatic Door Sounds’ if you want automatic door sounds, run the ‘Install NEC Rolling Stock Manual Door Sounds.bat ‘ if you want manual door sounds, and run the ‘Install NEC Rolling Stock Manual Door Sounds With Steps.bat’ if you want manual door sounds with step sounds

The brake sounds on the Amfleets seem to be really choppy like they aren't playing properly. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or just an issue on my end.

you're using the ai amfleets. you gotta make custom consists using the player version or either use my preload consists.
Noticed this issue with the Silver Meteor equipment for the Washington-Baltimore Route.

odd. maybe the script isn't working. i'll be sure to test it and get a fix out soon.
yeah, the download script is broken. i guess when i tested it, the files were already in the game. i’ll fix it and get a fix out later.
found out the issue. the script said NewHavenNewHaven instead of NewYorkNewHaven. simple mistake. my bad. update is in process now. it should work with WashingtonBaltimore as well now.
Unfortunatley, the issue is still present for me even after installing the update but again is only with Washington-Baltimore stock. Strange

Still happening. It's like the geo is corrupted or at least messed up
Is anyone else having a problem with the exterior sounds playing in the interior view?
only the high pitch rolling sound plays in both exterior and interior in the interior view.
Is there a way to remove it from the interior? But also keep the exterior sounds the same.
unfortunately, i can't replicate the geo issue on my end. it could possibly be the heritage baggage and diner, since those aren't compatible with the mod.
For some reason it took out like half of my routes that I had including paid for ones and workshop ones. Is there something within the Files I shouldn't install? Plus will there be a batch file that can uninstall the files or will I have to go and delete them?
Any update why it's incompatable with DC-Baltimore? It's a shame it doesn't work :(

Is the inside views supposed to go out of bound? because it kinda looks weird with no model of the whole interior

well the camera that are in window seats work fine! its the front of the coach that is non-existent yes
Could someone tell me where to manually install the GeoPdx files? I can't run the .bat files for some reason.
Is it a possibility that the revamped amfleets from the E60 addon will be used in the future?
this mod is not working for me its showing (an error occured while trying to load the sencario) can you fix this please

What a coincidence! i was just now looking for this since the amfleets were very quiet and i just found one right here! the sounds are very good too!
Edit: if you go to the front and rear cam it goes out of bounds for the interior. idk if this is supposed to happen or not
Edit: now the entire baltimore route is messed up....
that's weird. not sure why the route is messed up.
