SS Amtrak F40PH 1990's K5LA

Installation Instructions

Make a Searchlight Simulations folder and make a folder in the Searchlight Simulations folder called NathanAirChimeK-series and place the horn file into the NathanAirChimeK-series folder and copy the name of the engine you want to install this horn on (just the name not the Proxyxml part) make a copy of the Horn Proxyxml because if you don't do this then you will have to another Proxyxml from a different horn then it will be a mess for you

Additional Comments

Here is what I would do.

  1. Make (or go to) the folder named SearchlightSimulations
  2. Make (or go to) the folder named NathanAirChimeK-Series
  3. Make a folder and name it EMD F40PH K5LA 1990'S
  4. Drag/drop the downloaded files in there.
  5. Depending on what pack you want to use the horn on, go to that locomotive's HornSound file. I am using the F40PH included on the Soldier Summit route, so the source would look like this: Assets\DTG\SoldierSummit\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\F40PH\Exterior\F40PHHornSound.bin
  6. Open the bin file and scroll down until you see a large line that looks like (Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\F40PH\Exterior\F40PHHornSound.XML)
  7. Change that to
    SearchlightSimulations\NathanAirChimeK-series\EMD F40PH K5LA 1990'S\K5LA_HornControl.XML
Hit save, and load up railworks to test it.
