Speedometer Original (smaller) HUD Size

Short description: This mod changes the Speedometer HUD size to be closer to the size it used to be before the SoS update.

After you install the mod, make sure to go into Settings -> Game -> Speedometer HUD Scale -> set it to "Small". It will flip whatever setting you had so make sure to double check this if you want to see a difference. If you want an explanation: basically I made the "large" setting make the HUD smaller instead of larger, and then renamed the labels associated with these settings, to have them make a bit more sense. Hope this little extra work is worth the effort to you! ;)

Special thanks to CrAzZyKiLLa for letting me use their screenshots!

A very useful option, which should be native in TSW2. Thanks for your mod.

Does this cause issues within Livery Designer like the usual method of changing the HUD size does?

I didn't know about the Livery Designer issues so far, can you describe what I'd have to do to reproduce a bug like that? I'll try it out asap.

Using the .ini file method to decrease the size of the HUD means that when in Livery Designer the HUD is also small in there too and because of this difference in size some buttons cannot be pressed as they are out of position.

At present I remove the .ini line that changes the HUD size whenever I will be using LD and put it back in when just driving.

I'm going to install the mod now to see if there are any issues within LD.

Yeah no I actually didn't know about the ini method lmao, I hex edited the UI assets to change the size multiplier itself, I thought that would be the easiest way to do that, but I guess I didn't know about this solution. Anyway, as far as I tested this only affects the UI elements that are actually at the bottom in the train driving viewmode, nothing else.

I can confirm that all seems to be OK within LD using this mod.

Thanks for coming back to me so quickly.

this is really good thank you. Is there any way you could introduce a setting to reduce the size of the test information shown at the top of the screen (load passengers/ next signal/etc) ?

I don't know, maybe? I haven't done any testing on those as this hasn't been an issue for me yet ^^'

would be much appreciated if you can at some time. The test dominates the screen too much in my opinion.

I would really like to see a much smaller hud as well. The speedo needs to be half the size of small in tsw3

Hey. Please can this be made compatible with TSW3?

Hey I know you all have been very eager to get this on TSW3/TSW4 once it comes out, however I'm looking to do something more in terms of UI once the official editor is out, it will no doubt still take a while until we have options that are truly worthy and accessible for this player base, so I ask for some patience in this space. That's all I can really say for now ^^
