NS 8520 underwent a significant transformation as part of Norfolk Southern's AC44C6CF rebuild program, transitioning from DC to AC power. This initiative aimed to modernize older Dash 9 widecab locomotives by integrating new technology while retaining the original cab, thereby optimizing cost savings in locomotive refurbishment.
Originally constructed by General Electric in 1996, NS 8520 underwent a conversion process orchestrated by CAF USA. The unit now boasts a new control stand and TMV control while preserving its original cab structure.
This program primarily targeted analog/AC-powered locomotives such as AC44CW/AC4400CW's and Dash 9's, repurposing them into DC traction locomotives suitable for mainline service.
It's worth noting that the original reskin was developed by Clear Track Simulations, and with their permission, it has been incorporated into this reskin project.

good repaint!
Thank you. The only thing I did was get rid of the logos. Thank CT for the rest.
Changing the horn file is useless for me
Tried my brother's method and nothing changed
So the horn doesn’t work at all?
it works for other people but not me
Werid
do you thnk it might have something to do with the proxy files
This is the first time someone has had a problem with it.
I know, shouldn't there be some kind of guide or something
There’s a read me, but beside that no. I’m more of a reskinner not a guy to fix mods. Join the TSC discord server and see what they say.
thanks for the tip

A miracle somebody saved Clear Tracks' 6CF after 3 years of permanent closure...you had permission from their owner(s) to upload the original I'd assume? (out of curiousity; if they still care about their stuff ofc)
For the saving please thank Unoriginal, for getting the file, i was unable to find any links to any emails or anything. if you check in the CT- NS 8520.zip file there is a link to there website which is now deleted. If you know any of the emails i would gladly like to have them,
History, Kevin was asking if you had permission to upload the original file. Did you get some type of approval to upload that original file?
No, I did not get permission. I thought it would be ok, because they have been dormant for multiple years. I tried to the best of my ability to find out any form of communication I could get to them, but I was unable to find any. If you know any of the owners of the mod please I would love to get in touch with them and see what they think. If there is any problem I will be taking down my mod until it is settled. Hope you understand.
If you didn't get permission then you're uploading others property without getting consent. It's good that you tried to get some contact and I'll give you credit there however if you cant find any way of contact you shouldn't upload it. Just note this for the future
Well, what the heck am I gonna do now? I don’t want to take down my mod because I’m very proud of it.
Whatever you wanna do, keep in mind though next time to ask for permission before you upload other people's mods or do edits of them and release them to the public.
Well yeah, that was my plan from the beginning. I got some knowledge for the next time I use a CT mod to just credit them for it, because I can’t ask for permission.
