Beginning during the early 90s, Southern Pacific sold thousands of railcars that needed refurbishment to Greenbrier. These cars would lose their original paint schemes in favor of a new blue coat with new lettering and logo.
This reskin depicts the SP class B-70-74 boxcar in its Golden West Service guise with original doors and appropriate numbering. These boxcars when rebuilt by Gunderson, either retained their original double 8' doors, were equipped with a single 10' door, or gained a 12' plug door.
