Sorry to call you out on this horrible day weather wise. But the job of new ballast here at Ford is complete just in time for the first Brighton starting services. Luckily you only sign the West Coastway to Preston Park so you will be relieved of your task there and another driver will take over.

The reason for this weird service is because there is no easy way to turn the train around to head to Eastleigh from here, so the entire service has to go across to Preston Park, up to Three Bridges then back down the Arun Valley before finally heading to Eastleigh. Long one, I know!
