Description
Continue your journey across the North of England in Part 2 of this multi-leg scenario, In this installment, you’ll be in charge of an Armstrong Powerhouse-enhanced Class 158, working a busy regional service from Preston to Manchester Victoria over the highly detailed Manchester North West Network by Alan Thomson Simulation.
Departing Preston, you’ll navigate south east through a congested suburban stretch up Bolton toward Manchester. Expect realistic traffic, restrictive signals, and tight timing as you share the line with a variety of AI services. The Class 158’s detailed physics and immersive sound pack provide an authentic driving experience, requiring careful throttle control and braking to keep to schedule.
As you approach the Manchester area, traffic density increases and signal aspects become more challenging, demanding your full attention to ensure a smooth arrival at Manchester Victoria. Stay sharp—punctuality and passenger comfort are key.

Due to an update to Train Simulator Classic in May 2024, rain/snow showers are now unreliable in how they work. Sometimes they will activate, sometimes they won't. As a result, this part of the pack is now supplied on a 'no support' basis until Dovetail Games release an update to fix this.
