(King) (158) Across the Pennines: Blackpool North to Leeds Part 3

The final leg of your journey across Northern England awaits in Part 3 of this scenario series. Taking over from Manchester Victoria, you’ll once again command the Armstrong Powerhouse Class 158 as you traverse the scenic yet demanding Trans-Pennine route toward your final destination: Leeds.

Departing Manchester Victoria, you’ll quickly leave the busy urban environment behind and begin the climb into the Pennines. This stretch of railway offers a fantastic mix of gradients, sweeping curves, and breathtaking scenery, but don’t let the views distract you—maintaining speed and managing your unit efficiently will be key to staying on time.

As you crest the high ground and descend toward West Yorkshire, traffic begins to build once again. Expect adverse signals and increasing line congestion as you approach Leeds, requiring careful anticipation and smooth handling of your train.

Please note that, due to the highly detailed nature of the Leeds area within the (ATS) TPE MERGE dlc, you may experience some frame rate drops on the final approach. This is a known limitation of the route’s dense scenery and AI traffic, so be prepared for a slight performance dip as you complete your run.
