TS Classic Scenario
6M37 1636 Ravenstruther to Carlisle N.Y. (55 mins, medium)
(WCML North)
Drive a Colas Class 70, No. 70816, on a ballast train of 15 loaded IOA wagons from Cloburn Quarry Railhead Terminal (Ravenstruther as it was named when it served the coal fields) as far as Glasgow on a working that ran from Ravenstruther to Carlisle N.Y. on 15th April 2026. Based on RTT information for 6M37 and AI traffic.
The WCML is closed to rail traffic between Carstairs and Carlisle due to engineering works. In this scenario you are taking ballast from the quarry to Carlisle the long way round, to Glasgow and then the Glasgow South Western Line which goes via Barrhead and Kilmarnock. Slightly less traffic than usual today as there are no TPE or Avanti WC trains or freight via the WCML / Carstairs.
The scenario ends in Glasgow on the Larkfield curve as the WCML North TS Route quickly runs out of track and scenery at that point. It should take you about 55 minutes or so. Maximum speed is 60mph. You will have a few yellows as you are running behind a Lanark to Glasgow passenger service.

A feature of the AP Sky and Weather Enhancement Pack will ask the player if they want to use the correct sunset and sunrise times and advise restarting the scenario to do so. This is recommended, otherwise sunset will appear far earlier than in reality for mid April in Scotland.
