The Cattle trucks used on the Buchan Lines are essentially the same as those used on the Wear Valley Railway route. The trucks carry in large print the letters NE being originally from the LNER which for a short time in the 1940s used NE as their reporting mark. At a stretch NE marks might have been seen in the North East in the late 1950s (nostalgia perhaps) but hardly credible in Scotland of the same or later period.
This mod removes the lettering by modifying the decal.
