NJ Transit Employee Timetables: 1991

A selection of scans from my timetable collection. These were scanned in January 2024 for a friend and have otherwise been gatekept on my PC since. I figured it was time they got to see the light of day with the public.

The following Timetables are effective from April 7th, 1991, with the exception of the M&E Lines, which is effective from July 27th, 1991. All were in effect until further notice, although from research most, if not all, were reissued by September. They cover every NJT Route in game currently with the exception of the Atlantic City Line, which I regrettably do not have a timetable for. While we are lacking a good amount of the rolling stock in use during the time, if Searchlight eventually release their Geep these will be perfect for them.

Things to look out for

• The Waterfront Connection between Newark & Hoboken went into service on September 9th. You will see the trains in question in the M&E Timetable. Otherwise there are no through NJCL Diesel trains beyond Newark.
• The Kearny Connection would not be built and put in service for another five years, so there are no Midtown Direct services.
• Likewise, the Montclair and Boonton Lines wouldn't be connected until 2002, with the latter taking the original route into Hoboken. No existing routes replicate this in Train Sim, so creative liberties will have to be taken should you want to run a Boonton Line run on the NJT Revamp Route.
