A mod that lets the Class 801 from East Coast Main Line couple to other trains with Scharfenberg couplers, such as Class 395, most German EMU's, ÖBB 4024, modded version of TGV.
There are two versions of the mod:
Replacement Version (added 20/02/2024)
Modifies the existing Class 801 to allow it to couple to most things with Scharfenberg coupler, such as Class 395, ÖBB 4024, most German multiple units. Keep in mind this version won't be compatible with any game updates or mods that modify the original Class 801 RVD files, since one will overwrite the other.
Update (added 01/04/2024)
Repacked it, this version should hopefully not cause errors.
Variants Version (added 15/01/2024)
Doesn't modify the original 801, instead adds a variant, for use in free roam mode or scenario creator. It should appear in the free roam spawn menu under Class 801 LNER, as "LNER Class 801/1 (Scharfenberg)".
Update (added 01/04/2024)
Disabled variants version from appearing in formation designer, since it doesn't work properly. Delete Class801_CouplerMod.pak if it is installed, replace it with either MJKCP_CouplerMod_Class801.pak or MJKCP_CouplerMod_Class801_Replacement.pak.
Notes
- You don't need both versions, pick which one you prefer.
- I am not sure how to get it to control another train when coupled (for example 801 coupled to 395), so to get them to move you might need to turn on the other train and release the brakes.
Bugs
- Formation designer doesn't detect that the replacement version should be able to couple to other trains.

Comments
When Bescot's Fife Circle Revamp is installed, the replacement version causes most vegetation textures on Fife Circle Line to go missing.
It's obviously not an issue to use the variants version (or only use one of these two mods), and I don't expect any modder to go out of their way to ensure compatibility with other mods. I just wanted to mention it both in case you are interested and in case others get surprised by the same conflict.
EDIT: The latest version doesn't cause any issues.
Not sure why that is happening, it should only include modified RVD and RVM files for the 801. Maybe I used the wrong settings when packing it, I will check.
Edit: Repacked the replacement version, should be uploaded soon. The new version shouldn't cause problems, although I don't have FCL so I can't check.
