Description

A set of german style book timetable with the aim to be as realistic and accurate as possible. Using these will help you a lot towards going totally HUD-less. My aim when creating these was to follow the Ril 408.23 standard as closely as possible by making use of whatever public material I could find. I have also tried to adapt them towards the timetable services we can find in TSW. This means, different route numbers have been combined into one timetable. For example, the "Dresden - Leipzig Regio" suits the RE50 and the "Dresden - Leipzig Fern" suits the IC and ICE services.

Included timetables as of 2026/06/01:

  • Dresden - Leipzig (Including the route via Cossebaude, the route to Meißen and the route to Großenhain. All in both directions)
  • Kinzigtalbahn (Both directions as well as third track Hailer-Meerholz - Wolfgang)
  • Bremen - Oldenburg. Both directions. This one includes different speed limits in columns 2a - 2d as well as travel times in columns 4a - 4d.
  • Köln - Aachen. Both directions, S-Bahn timetables are in one combined file.
  • Frankenbahn. Fernbahm and S-Bahn in both directions.

How to read

The timetable is divided into different columns, 1, 2, 3a, 3b, 4 and 5.

  • Column 1 show hectometre information regarding speed limits.
  • Column 2 show a speed limit. This is, however, only the route limit following the main route. Signals can show different speeds!
  • Column 3a show important points along the route. These can be stations, signals or other important information.
  • Column 3b show hectometre information about signals, stations etc.
  • Column 4 and 5 show arrival and departure times. This is currently not used.
On some pages you will find footnotes. Don't pay too much attention to these, they have no practical use in TSW today.

There are also a few symbols that tell you important information, these can be the ¥ symbol, angle brackets or arrows. Here is a explanation regarding some of them:

  • ¥ Shows the end of a junction. "Anschließender Weichenbereich"
  • **➞**Arrow symbol indicates that a signal is located on a different side of the track than what you could expect.
  • Triangle symbol indicates that the distance from the distant signal to the main signal is shorter than the regular braking distance.
  • 〈〉 Angle brackets indicate that the information applies to the opposite track, "gegengleis".
