MEDWAY Italia is the newly found in 2020 rail freight operator in Italy, under the control of MSC Group from Switzerland. They cooperated with VTG supplying over 40 Sggrs(s) wagons.
E494s are the first series of locomotive that was owned by Medway Italia, before that they rely on hired locomotives.
By March 2022, MEDWAY Italia owned 3 E494, 3 on production and 3 ordered. The numbers should be 494 231,232, and 233 'Sophia'.
