Tinsley Depot's Original Unofficially Named Class 47s (Set of 9 Locos) ***Updated to Rectify Missing Layers Issue***

Description

Updated To Rectify Missing Layers Issue - Please Download Files Again

Tinsley Depot (Sheffield) became famous in the mid 1980s to the mid 1990s for applying unofficial names to it's class 08, 31, 37, 45 and 47 locos. Each class usually had a theme (08s were closed local depots, 45s were mythical gods and creatures) and the original batch of the class 47s that they named were all named after wild birds.

After speaking to one of the depot staff responsible it was confirmed that the first batch of class 47s to receive painted nameplates consisted of 9 locos towards the end of September 1989 so I thought with a little bit of artistic license these locos would be ideal for use on the Blackpool Branches route and WCMLoS route as they are both set just a couple of years earlier. (I have used the class 47 from the Blackpool Branches route for these reskins).

The locos included are all slightly different be it the livery itself or weathering details and are as follows.....

47008 "Peregrine" (BR Blue, Silver roof, Black headcode panels, Full orange cantrail striping, Tinsley rose above name and numbers and cabside water staining, Fading/worn blue paintwork)
47097 "Falcon" (BR Blue, Silver roof, Yellow headcode panels, Full orange cantrail striping, Tinsley rose above name and numbers, Fading/worn blue paintwork)
47100 "Merlin" (BR Blue, Silver roof, Black headcode panels, Full orange cantrail striping, Tinsley rose above name and numbers, Heavy lower bodyside weathering)
47120 "Osprey" (BR Large Logo, Silver roof, Black headcode panels, No orange cantrail stripes, Tinsley rose above name, Worn paintwork on headcode panels, Peeling BR logo on one side)
47145 "Jostinot" (BR Blue, Blue roof, No orange cantrail striping, Tinsley rose over name, Tinsley depot sticker below numbers, Light weathering as this loco later became famous for becoming the depot "pet")
47209 "Bittern" (BR Blue, Blue roof, No orange cantrail striping, Tinsley rose over name, Tinsley depot sticker below numbers, Signs of bodyside panel replacement on one cabside, Light weathering)
47218 "Firecrest" (BR Blue, Blue roof, Full orange cantrail striping, Tinsley rose over name, Light weathering)
47298 "Kestrel" (BR Blue, Blue roof, No orange cantrail striping, Tinsley rose above name and numbers, Both high intensity headlights recently fitted and still in grey undercoat/primer, damaged paintwork)
47309 "Kittiwake" (BR Blue, Blue roof, No orange cantrail striping, Tinsley rose above name and numbers, Fading/worn blue paintwork)

Enjoy!
