Riviera - Wave Splashes

Description
Adds dynamic wave splashes to Riviera, it is based on wind, precipitation and cloud cover; but mostly wind.
The effect happens along all sea walls in varying degrees from Starcross to Dawlish and a bit beyond based on current conditions.

- Splashes scale dynamically with the weather, low wind means smaller splashes
- More variance between each splash, sometimes they will be huge during storms or stop short to add more variety
Installation Instructions
Drop the .PAK file into your TSW DLC directory.
It is a mastery layer, you need to go into your mastery rewards and enable the scenery tiles.

This is a brilliant addition - thank you Cancelbot. I must admit when I saw it I was slightly cynical, fearing the splashes would look unrealistic, but, far from it, they look fantastic.

Pretty sure the latest game update has broken this mod as I've not seen a single splash since last week. Have they changed something that affects this mod?
I just noticed the same thing. Tried all kinds of weather variations and could not get a wave to splash.
Not done any bad weather runs yet but with normal weather the tide now looks to be just before/after high tide so the water isn’t near the sea wall anymore.
Great work! Only minor gripe is the wave splashes on the down as you near Dawlish Warren; as its shielded by the land spit, you hardly (if ever) get any overtopping onto the railway. The main areas are DWL-TGM. Other than that, solid effort!
Hi great mod, although I do believe that the latest verison of the game has broken this mod for the waves at Dawlish. (22/11/2025) I hope to see a patch for this soon that fixes the compatabillity issues. I do have the mod enabled in the settings and tried differnent weather settings but the waves no longer show ;(
Is this mod able to be updated or have the recent game updates to the route broken it permanently?
Hopefully it can be updated to bring back the waves as it really topped off the route.

The current version of the mod still works perfectly for me and has on all game updates since it was released. If I set the wind strength to max I always get wave splashes over the wall.
