1Z35 1630 Lincoln Central to London Kings Cross

Consigned to the history books since 2022 as a victim of its own success, Lincoln Christmas market would see hundreds of thousands flock to its cobbled streets and steep hill. The railways did a lot of the moving with additional diagrams from EMT/EMR as well as steam and diesel railtours aplenty. It’s home time for today’s market goers with 67010 just providing the much needed heating and lights, 67021 will do all the hard graft upfront. Acceleration between 0-30mph is noticeably poor so do bear that in mind for the predominantly 3 aspect signalled areas. Defensive driving to the max, you’ll be in need of a lot of rest after this one!

Follow the March lines away from Peterborough as far as Whittlesey Quarry and return back so that Peterborough station is visible. I did experience a number of freezes south of Hitchin which did not result in a crash but certainly had me worried.
