Description

This utility tool will automatically download and install Armstrong Powerhouse Addons, including Branding Patches and Extra Stock Packs.

It was created in response to comments on Facebook posts in which people were noting the amount of redownloads they need to do due to AP Packs being improved and updated.

In simple terms, this tool will login to your AP account, index all of your purchased AP products, check to see if any have been updated since you last installed them, and if that is the case, it will download and install them without you having to do anything.

For this tool to run, you will require the latest version of Google Chrome available here: https://www.google.com/intl/en_uk/chrome/.

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DISABLE YOUR ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE AS IT IS PRONE TO REMOVING AP EXECUTABLE FILES WHEN YOU TRY TO RUN THEM. IT IS ALSO ESSENTIAL THAT YOU READ THE INCLUDED MANUAL BEFORE USING THE TOOL. WATCHING THIS TUTORIAL VIDEO IS ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:

I seem to be getting quite a few packs getting the 'failed to download please run yourself' error even though I can see the file has been downloaded in Chrome, anyone else having that?

Also causes the wrong zips to save in the wrong sub folders etc.

Keep getting an issue where the installer "says" all files are installed, but it then fails to actually install anything. I've made sure that the update list is set but no dice.

PLEASE remove the empty last_updated.csv file from the zip. Right now the easy way to update the updater is to simply copy all files, but this means all prior records of updating are erased!!

Hi there, you raise a fair point, I can do that for a future update. As I’m sure you aware, you can work around it for now by making a backup of your current csv file, and then replacing the empty one with it. Apologies.

This is already possible to do. Just set the date to be something way in the past, a date that’ll be older than when the product was last updated. To be sure you can set the date to 1/1/2000. This will guarantee that every product will install even on a fresh install.

iav reinstalled tsc.used the ap programme to reinstall my ap stuff. but for some reason only half my add ons being installed.sny ideas?.

Thanks for the app, I've used it for a while and its always worked perfectly. I am running into a slight issue with the local save feature though; the option to save the AP Products locally seems to currently save them as owned by the admin user (I assume this is because the app is launched as admin). This means I can't open or copy the files without first becoming an admin. Is it possible to instead save these files as owned by the user account, or otherwise grant access to the user account? (I am not 100% familiar with Windows permissions, I'm more used to Linux but I assume this is what's going on). Thanks again.

Hi, I've had a quick look at this now and your assumption is likely correct. Unfortunately I can't see an easy way to change the file permissions from the program on Windows. The solution would probably require re-factoring the code so that it doesn't need to run as an admin, and this would take a bit of work to ensure it still all runs correctly. This is the first time I've had this feedback, so I can only assume that everyone else who uses the program has an admin account (as do I), so therefore don't experience the issue. Is it possible for you to use an admin account at all? I appreciate this isn't too much of a help.
