UPDATED
Change Log 27/07:
Lastly, a big thanks to all you creators club contributors for the liverys, without which my timetable would not be possible.
This a brand new timetable for the Northern Trans-Pennine route:
It’s based on 1990 timetable, so last full year of Loco trans-Pennine operations (ceased on Jan 1991).
A summary:
It’s 1990, HST’s are mixing with the brand new Class 91s hauling Mk3s, Class 47’s on cross country services mixing with HST’s. 1St gen DMU’s are lingering on, the mainstay of Leeds in this period are the second gen DMUs, the odd 141, many 142’s & 144’s, 150’s covering local services. 156’s were being used on Scarborough / Hull-Man Pic (no airport trains in 1991), as well a rich variety of freight loco’s (including reverse engineered class 31 reskins!)
Notes on route adaptation:
Change log:
Updated timetable to fix 1E13 pathing errors at Leeds......20/7
Please remember this is only a Beta version, still many things that require updating.
I hope you enjoy my timetable!
Download and place in the DLC folder of TSW5
Great work!!! Thanks. This DLC was dead but you brought him back to life,
yeah, I know it was a early TSW route, perhaps DTG could merge this route with Glossop for a full Manchester map ? , still it needs updating, I agree!
For the 155, you could stick two 153s together as orginally they were 2 car units & 155 reskins do exist.
I don't own a 153 , yet..... When the sales come I'll pick one up and update , and there is already a WYPTE skin for the 155
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any HSTs among either the playable trains or the AI trains, even though they're present in the screenshots. What could be wrong?
No drivable Hsts , they are London services, if you spawn on foot around 06:20 you'll see two sets.
Thanks, the mod is great!
Thanks!, its taken 7 months to get this timetable to where it is now, I would love to do more services but I'm about at the limit for this route in its current form.
Hi just ran service 1E13 - 08:27 Liverpool - Newcastle a few miles outside Leeds I came upon red lights and trains backed up signal after signal, waited a while and even started removing trains, gave up in the end. Hope it can get sorted as the timetable looks amazing!
I have found an issue with a service not moving correctly in Leeds causing the timetable to become "stuck", I'm working on a fix, will keep you updated!
so close first simulation!, always the same move one service and has a cascade effect:
Of 1102 total services...
1102 services completed
0 services were still running
0 services had not started
Service (2L20 - 14:28 Sheffield - Leeds) ends at +14:34:06.250, later than the next service
Service (1M49 - 17:40 - Hull - Manchester Picc - Selby Entry) ends at +17:40:24.550, later than the next service
i've fixed that error, i've uploaded the correct version, so download and give it a try
Thanks for the quick fix, I’ll give it a try and let you know.
Very nice! Not enough 90s stuff in TSW despite being one of the most intersting rail scene periods...
A few things just for some general housekeeping.
I would move your STA times from the "go to" instruction and put it on the "load unload" This means loading begins when the doors are opened and AI will open doors as soon as they stop even if they are early.https://)
If you get your hands on an actual timetable from the time I would update it to those timings rather than simulated ones. Dont worry about AI being a little late, only official devs need to worry about that.
If you set the headcodes in to the service number in the PIS section on the start service node then it will show up on the GSM-R for the 158.!
Hi,
Do you mean remove the times from the "stop" instruction and only use the Load times ?
all train times are based on the 1990-91 timetable, so they are accurate to the timetable (within the bounds of AI and routing, which is not the best)
The 158's are only in the game due to the lack of 156s, so not too concerned with GSM-R as in 1990 it didn't exist
Thanks for the feedback!
And yes apparently in TSW no railways existed from late 80's until early 2000s, very strange
good mod but i cannot get traction on the class 158...

I know it might not be accurate but I'd rather have the Cummins powered pacer
To be fair west Yorkshire had more 144's bouncing around than 142s at the time, maybe one day someone will create one, appreciate the feedback
Can't wait to give this a go
Found a bit of a bug, when you miss a station the objective doesn't fail - really nice work though
Not sure about that, I think it's an option i turned off , To be honest I was more concerned about the timetable actually working , but I'll have a look
I have found some options not selected in timetable, I'm re-working the timetable, hopefully update coming soon
Of course, I only noticed it by accident of course falling asleep driving a train, you should always pull over and rest :P

Like this
Also set dispatch beyond go to on the stops where you still want a proceed aspect
Ok I'll try that, might take few weeks , ta for the info
Any idea how you stop AI despatching against a red ?
If you mean closing doors against the red signals then its that dispatch beyond go to checkbox. The path finder will set the road and give clear signals up until the next stop at instruction. If you set dispatch beyond go to then it will give you clear signals past the instruction. As far as I am aware that will be the next 4 or so signal blocks.
I'm mean AI trains despatching against a red , shuffling down the platform upto the red, I need the Ai trains to wait until the road is clear , which at Leeds does take some time
Put the two files in my DLC folder - loco selection shows all locos with a big red cross in place of the expected thumbnail, also noticed no class 47's appearing as selectable to drive in any of my other routes. Fairly new to TSW so probably something silly on my part,
The first time you run the timetable always has red x all train s are still selectable, 47s have multiple versions listed due to using different models, so specific models are on specific trains if that makes sense?
Looking forward to playing this Timetable, but when I try to load into the route the game infinitely loads. Is there a required DLC list for this TT? Looks great btw!
Hi ,
required routes /dlc's are:
Blackpool Branches: Preston - Blackpool & Ormskirk, BR Class 20 'Chopper', BR Class 31, BR Heavy Freight Pack, East Coast Mainline: Peterborough to Doncaster, Great Western Express, Midland Main Line: Leicester - Derby & Nottingham, Northern Trans-Pennine: Manchester - Leeds, Tees Valley Line: Darlington – Saltburn-by-the-Sea, West Cornwall Local: Penzance - St Austell & St Ives, West Somerset Railway
i hope that helps!
Thanks, I missed a few. Just bought them on sale and going to try again. Thank you :)
Yep works now I have all the DLC. Thank you for the help :)
Good job !
Thanks ......update coming soon !
Nice one!
On the loco selection screen it shows red crosses instead of thumbnails
when you restart the game the icons will appear.
Is there anywhere i can get the timetable you used at all? Great work btw!
And sorry... one final question. What express services are available over the pennines? Is there particular routes that run across? EG Newcastle to Penzance?
in the 1990s there aren't any non-stop Pennie services , all express trains stop at Huddersfield (both directions) , in reality Loco hauled & Hull services didn't stop at Stalybridge but that's the limitation of the map. you can always spawn a service and drive the route ?
Newcastle - Penzance would have been in the early 80s i'm guessing????
Glasgow QS - Penzance was the closest thing we had in the 90s, all cross country services were routed ECML Via Leeds/ Doncaster to Sheffield > Derby > Birmingham. Newcastle services were normally to BTM or Poole
I haven't downloaded this yet as I'm waiting for a sale to pickup Preston to Carlisle and Blackpool Branches but I've been watching the progress and it looks amazing, can't wait to try it! Thanks for making a dead route feel so alive again, it was desperately needed. Great work!
There were a few railtours over the route in 1990, i'm hopefully adding a couple , but at the moment I'm working on another timetable for another british route that needs a power up!
Trying to use this timetable, is it normal for the game to get stuck in a loading screen when loading into a train? Also if I spawn in on foot, the game either crashes or there are no trains to be seen.
Do you have all the routes for the dependency's?
Hi, this mod seems to be incompatible with the ROB S container branding mod (more specifically the FKABrandedCargo.pak which replaces all default fka containers with the modded one). Whenever I select a container service, the game crashes on the loading screen

this mod was only designed to use stanard containers, if you want to drive the service, just move the PAK file to a temp location , should be good to go!
what reskings to i need for this timetable

Thanks for this, not easy with the shortcomings of this great route (worthy of updating). I noticed at stations there's hardly any passengers (literally not 1 person at Huddersfield, for instance) and none on the train itself.
I believe that's a route problem, unfortunately DTG would need to edit and release an update, not likely to happen any time soon.
yeah, shame, the route deserves a refresh
I would love to see the 1990s version, with Leeds electrified and also a higher speed track
It's been like this for ages with no passengers.
