KCRD 1974 EMD G26CU 'Peter Quick' No.60 (SPG GP38-2 Livery)

Exactly the same locomotive as KCR 1980s EMD G26CU 'Peter Quick' No.60 , but 6 years earlier.
KCR's rollingstock can roughly be cut into 3 periods. Steam era from 1910 to 1954, Diesel from 1954 to 1983 and Electric from 1983 to now.
KCR's first diesel locomotive was introduced in 1954 as EMD G12. KCR continued to purchase more EMD product with G16 in 1961 and G26 in 1974.
Just 9 years later the EMDs witness the massive evolution of the route from a single line to double line with electrification. Thus the G26s didn't even provide passenger service for 10 years before they move on for freight which surived another 26years until the end of freight in 2010 which leaves a small amount of maintainence service with G26, Siemens ER20 and CRRC CKD0A to handle. Eventually they have to retire and the no.60 recently got send for scrap.
This livery reflect the original KCR Department Diesel Livery with deep green and white roof. There was no picture of G26 in this livery so I take G12's as reference. Sadly I cannot colour the plow of GP38 with zebra.
