This Class 385 Sound Adjustment and General Improvement patch aims at improving the general experience of using and driving the Class 385 in Train Simulator Classic. This mod in its current iteration mainly adjusts noise levels, fixes cab occlusion and fixes some other issues with the current implementation in Train Sim Classic.
This includes a remap of the key inputs for driving this train. More about this can be found in the
manual.
In version 0.1.2 the on board PIS system has been upgraded to have more accurate to life announcements
In version 0.1.3 the low power frequency sound now switches off when no power is applied and the cab occlusion has been improved
This is my first mod and has been what I worked on to learn a bit about the processes of modding within train sim. Therefore, I cannot guarantee that this will live up to the standards of other trains/mods as I am inexperienced and haven’t got much of the technology or skills which would be
required to make a full enhancement pack.
Requirements
Experience the charm of Scotland and scenic diverse landscapes as you explore Glasgow to Dunblane and Alloa for Train Simulator from Thomson Interactive.
Installation Instructions
To Install, copy the Assets folder to your Railworks directory. This should overwrite the relevant files and apply this patch to the Class 385
Alternatively if my patch is so bad that you wish to uninstall this mod: Delete the folders "Audio" and "RailVehicles" from the GlasgowDunblane folder. Normally this should be located: Railworks/Assets/Thomson/GlasgowDunblane
Alternatively just re-install the route entirely as that should overwrite the changed files with the originals
Additional Comments
The horn is broken and always has been. Currently looking for "ethical" ways to replace it.

Hi,
Love the pack and I was able to fix a few things you did alter.
Fixed:
Horn - Works with 800 EP (No stuck tones :) )
Run Sounds - Works with 800 EP
Track Joint Sounds - Works with 800 EP
Edited Flange - Works with 800 EP
I would love to be able to upload this and it still would require your pack as I edited the Bogie folder you have and edited the proxy.bin/xml files.
Can credit you and reference your work but its entierly up to you?
Hope to hear from you soon.
spg2002
Hello, thanks for trying out the pack. Totally fine if you upload what you've made using this pack, ofc credit/reference is greatly appreciated. Please let me know when it is uploaded as I would love to try it out
Thanks,
Agdron
also, forgot to mention this earlier, but I'm releasing an update for this pack which fixes the activation range for the low power motor sounds and improves cab occlusion. I don't think it should mess with whatever you've made since I don't recall touching the bogies folder, but you might want to check against changes in that.
I should be releasing the pack this week.
Fixed:
Flange
Horn
Track Joints
Run Sounds
AWS and DRA Voices
Various cab updates sound wise
Door Alarm (Using MK5 pack)
Cab Occulsion (Tweaked it - See what you think :) )
Just getting a few people to test it. If you want to test it out then I can send it you :)
I would love to give it a test, please do send it along
I’m currently not gonna be back home til tomorrow to attach it here. If you have an email I could send it to then you can have it now.
Let us know if anything you find wants changing etc
Hi, unfortunately something has come up and I will not have time to test it. Please do let me know when it is uploaded though
No Worries. Myself and Alan Thomson are going to be releasing my updates and your work is a requirement. I wondered if you wanted to collaborate and include your work that you have done as well instead of being a requirement and any updates you make can go towards the pack itself.
Entierly up to you. Let me know what you think?
Cheers spg2002
I'm open to collaboration with developers which wish to improve upon the already existing 385. My knowledge doesn't go very far as the majority of what I did stemmed from editing ProxyXML files and replacing original .dav files. Please do let me know when your mod has been uploaded to either this site or ATS.
