Description

Alaska is a very scenic and beautiful route. But it has many problems, some of them Im trying to fix here.

Here is the list of changes:

  • Added a lot of missing speed warning signs
  • Reworked all speed limits on the route according to real ARR timetable
  • Cars couplers have been fixed, so now consist should not break randomly, causing a disaster.
  • Added ladder cameras for all freight cars. You can access it with "5" key.
  • Added support for Krellnut's Freight Sounds
  • Applied Armstrong Powerhouse weather pack
  • Other minor graphic fixes

If you have installed IHP fixes for Searchlight Simulations EMD 16N-710G3B (see dependencies) you will be able to dynamically calculate HP per tonn for the train.
(Notice, it works only for SD70MAC locos, GP38-2 are not supported.)
It is very important if you are going to drive realistic trains. ARR trains are usually built to have about 2.3 HP/T to get across the mountain passes and about 1HP/T is enough for flat terrain. By Default SD70MAC trains are overpowered in all scenarios. You can set units in isolate/run state, depending on your needs. To observe HP/T parameter press Ctrl-I to bring up information dialog.
For further info see documentation in IHP Fixes pack.
