Change Log
Version 1.2.2
- Minor Update for latest compatability, including new station directory and fixes for the 158s in TSW5.
Version 1.2.1
- Very Minor update, just swapped some different 170s to 158s to create more 170/158 coupled services. Some examples: 1L21, 2G61, 2G32, 2G06 (16:02).
Version 1.2
- Replaced some of the 170s with 158s, expect to see double 170s, double 158s and 158s coupled with 170s.
- This and all future versions will require the Scotrail 158 to be installed.
Version 1.1
- Restored cut doubled 170 services. Rivet fixed this in the last big patch so I have now reneabled more of these doubled up services.
- Class 380 is selectable to sub in for the 3 car 385 Dunblane services.
- Next version will be adding in the Scotrail 158, and the DLC will be required for all future versions.
Version 1.0
- Initial Release.
Features
This timetable is fully built from scratch using the early 2024 working time timetable for the region. Some very minor alterations have been made due to gameplay considerations, or route limitations.
The current feature set includes:
• 166 playable Class 170 services. Including all of the Dundee, Aberdeen, Cowdenbeath, Glenrothes services. Several ECS moves.
• 98 playable Class 385/1 services, comprising of the Edinburgh to Glasgow express services and ECS moves. (ScotRail Express: Edinburgh - Glasgow Route Add-On required).
• 68 playable Class 385/0 services, comprising the Edinburgh to Dunblane services drivable as far as Polmont. (ScotRail Express: Edinburgh - Glasgow Route Add-On required).
• 20 playable Scotrail HST (with custom livery, base made by Tom Hill) services from Edinburgh to Aberdeen. Drivable as far as Markinch. Creative license was taken on these to increase gameplay, as in reality only one stops at Markinch, so they would all have been AI. (Great Western Express Route Add-On required).
• 8 playable LNER class 800/1 services from Edinburgh to Aberdeen, playable between Edinburgh and Markinch. These services require the swapping between electric and diesel mode at Haymarket. (East Coast Main Line: Peterborough - Doncaster Route Add-On required).
• 2 Playable Flying Scotsman Rail tours. These Fife Circular services run the entire loop, and take around two hours to complete. (LNER Class A3 60103 Flying Scotsman Steam Loco Add-On required).
• This gives a total playable service count of 362.
• Full station PIS with all stops added for all services, AI and player.
AI only services:
• All the Lumo services, including a custom livery (base made by Tom Hill).
• LNER AI services to 10am.
• All of the 170 Tweedbank services. (Some have been disabled due to a missing signal on platform 4 of Waverley).
Current known limitations:
• I have been unable to do as complicated Haymarket Depot ECS as I would have liked. This is due to the majority of the depot being bugged/missing signals/pathing. ECS moves only come out of a limited area of the depot currently, I can’t do anything about this, Rivet are the only ones who can.
• The automatic announcements for the 170 do not work in my timetable. I’ve tried various things, but have yet been unable to find out how to enable them.
• Passengers are not present on the E2G section currently, due to some issues with the merging of routes..
Future Plans
The current plan for the next version is to include the following:
• At least 2 more playable rail tours comprising of diesel loco hauled passenger carriages.
• At least 2 playable RHTT services.
• Putting in all of the missing LNER AI services.
• Potentially adding in the Glasgow Central AI services.
• Putting in as much of the real life tram timetable as the signalling/pathing will allow me.

Special Thanks
A huge, special thanks to Joethefish for helping me with my numerous questions and the advice given that without which, I would not have got this working as well as I hoped to.
Special thanks to Muff, who without his editor patch cooking and pack would be significantly more time consuming.

If I'm understanding everything correctly, this will add a separate Timetable alongside the default Rivet(DLC) Timetable. Also the "Custom Livery (HST, Lumo)" must be subscribed to separately, or is it included with the mod?
: Corrected Spelling Errors:
Yep
The custom HST, Class 800, and the Lumo are all included in this: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world/c19-patches/i4403-fife-circle-enhancement-pack
Thank you Very much for getting back to me so quickly and clarifying for this Gen-X :)
Great stuff so far and really does make the line come alive. Did a Cowdenbeath short journey but still ended up at Glenrothes doing a shunt. Not a complaint but is what really happens, just interested.
That is correct, as far as I know, they terminate at Cowdenbeath, then run ECS to Glenrothes
How bizarre 🤔
Absolutley Marvelous - very much enjoyed running 1Z18 with 60103
wow keep these coming :-)
Cant get this or the enhancement pack to work, go to load in and keep getting fatal error. removed all mods not related, reinstalled game, nvidia graphics resetting, shaders cleared. nothing seems to work.
This mod is Great ! Thanks for your work.
I searched for a long time and found these three mods that prevent the class 170 from appearing in the 2024 timetable
Where did you find these files as i'm having the same problems with finding them and the timetable for class 170 not showing.
@Rich01
You haven't understood, you don't have to find these mods, you have to remove them for class 170 to appear.
I removed all of these and yet I still am not seeing the 170 in the updated timetable?
If you still aren't seeing the 170, you have another mod that is conflicting with it.
This is - together with the Enhancement Pack - by far the best AddOn for TSW! Kudos and great job!
This, combined with the enhancement pack, completely transforms this route. Thank you!
I can get everythihg working except the Class 170 Timetabled services any help would be appricated thanks in advace.
Same. I hope its fixed because the original timetable by Rivet is awful
This is due to another mod conflicting with the timetable. You need to find which mod it is, and remove it.
Hi,
will you be updating the timetable soon to support the new class 158 thats coming out?
I have noticed that by the new update with the class 158 the class 170 is gone from the menu where you can choose a train. It is in the timetablem, if you choose for spawn on foot its there. And do you have plans to add the class 158 in the timetable?
Thanks for this nice mod i love it! So the class 158 will this timetable complete if you can add this :D
This timetable makes Fife Circle much better, Thanks a lot. I noticed in the changelog that the 158 will also be included in the future. Really looking forward to it.
Anyone who's still having issues with the 170 not showing, Ive had to remove the West Cornwall EP, Laika's intercity 31 dirty skin and both of Aran's 380 mods for it to show up. 🤷♂️
only needs the aran mods removed, 170 is showing up for me with west cornwall still installed
Thanks for your hard work, we really appreciate it.
Thanks for the hard work much appreciated. Is there a way to find which services are mixed 158/170 units?
1L21 is mixed currently, and I'm just working on a quick patch to add in a few more.
Apparently my random picking of which 170s to make 158s resulted in mostly double 170s and double 158s after coupling.
Thanks for your continued efforts bringing more life to Fife Circle, just watching the comings and goings at Waverley is so impressive. Do you intend to implement the TPE services at all (as the TPE skin is included in the FC EP pack for 'future proofing' as it says)?
At some point yes, they are actually half made just disabled currently. Was having issues with them crashing the simulation.
I've just been too busy with work lately to set some proper time aside for them.
No worries, what you’ve managed already is really good; hope one day we’ll see them too 👍
Excellent timetable with lots of fun services to drive, well done!
One slight thing I noticed - when riding the 800s out of Edinburgh they don't switch to diesel at Haymarket like you have to do as a player and continue to run all the way up north on electric mode. Is this an AI limitation? I noticed I could not even turn on the engines in the cab when it was AI controlled so I think that's why they couldn't do it. Slight immersion killer and it's a shame.
You won't be able to swap anything physics related when the AI is in control, as they don't actually use physics. I do believe that is a limitation of the game unfortunately.
Gotcha, thanks for clarifying :3
work on tsw5?
Works fine on TSW5 yep.
Having trouble with the Class 158 in TSW5. It doesn't seem to exist as AI unless you start in the 158 yourself. If you start any other route that doesn't use it or on foot there are no 158s. Have tried removing every mod/DLC that isn't required for this timetable but problem still persists.
Hello,
Tnx for the nice update!
Here the same problem, on foot I don't have 158's.
Any plan to add the 390 in now it's out?
Yep, as long as I can get the right info.
Hey, any plans to update with the recent update and Leven branch release?
If I can fit them in. Technically my TT data is from before the branch opened.
Of course, so does that mean your recent update is just so that it can work with the updated route with Leven branch, but the timetable still remains the same (not using the branch)?
Not got the 170, 801 or HST services in. Help!
Have you extracted all the PAK files from the enhancement pack as it downloads as a ZIP file?
Have you got the 158?
I do not have the 158
If you don't have the 158, you can't use any version past 1.1. It does say that in the requirements, change log and description of the file.
I had to make this change as the 170s and 158s couple, so they have to be in the same layer.
For me, there is a traffic jam at Haymarket from around 7.00 am. The trains to Dundee with the class 158 simply stop at platform 2 and hold everything up.
Fantastic mod, I was wondering is it possible to use the 170 for Conductor mode on your timetable as the default timetable you can use Conductor mode but doesnt show up with this timetable.
