This mod replaces older style TSW2&3 vegetation and grass with something similar to the newer style introduced by DTG in TSW4
These foliage materials & textures have much improved level of detail (LODs). The grasses are more dense, lush and have a greater draw distance when linked with the draw distance commands in engine.ini
Some terrain grass and embankment textures have been replaced to match the colour of the new grasses.
We have deliberately excluded larger trees from this pack.
Various UK, DE & US routes are supported.
Files Updated 13 Oct 24 for TSW5 and combined into a single pak
Delete all mods called "!!BescotJetwash-GroundfoliageEP_xxx.pak" where xxx is the DLC route code
Tags: ep foliage vegetation
No requirements other than TSW5.
Unzip the contents of the zip to your TSW5 DLC folder.
To get the most out of the pack, you need to do one of two things. Either use Jetwash's Lighting and Graphic Overhaul (https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world/c105-ini-tweaks/i3889-tsw4-lighting-graphic-enhancement-version-35) which means you don't need to do anything as this is already set up for you or, if you don't use it, you should ensure that these values are higher than 1 in your main engine.ini . I'd recommend a value of 3

foliage.LODDistanceScale=3
If you cannot afford a r.ViewDistanceScale which is >1, then leave the value as 1. Use grass.CullDistanceScale=2 instead. This will double the default grass draw distance and provide a smooth fade out.
Your engine.ini file can be found in Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld4\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEdit

Thanks! Not the official one, no. Mix of the old unofficial editor (which works ) and other stuff.
Will you also make a pack that include the peak forest trees models?
Probably no - as we can't directly use those due to the addon-manager blocking the materials, and they tend to go transparent if you can't push the scenery distance right up.

E vem pessoas muito das vezes leigas, e criam algo tao melhor que os desenvolvedores do jogo. Parabéns meu caro, pelo seu trabalho. Bom, e nao adianta vir com estória que vai ficar pesado... porque a maioria dos PC's hoje em dia suporta confortavelmente.

I’m not sure to be honest. I’ve used the route with it installed and not had an issue, it probably needs testing without though.

I hate to be that guy. Is there a way you could possibly do OSD for this? It would put so much potential into that old route.

I don't know if it's just coincidence, but I and another user had crashes on BPE (Boston - Providence) that was solved by removing !!BescotJetwash-GroundfoliageEP_BPE.pak.

I've had this crash twice today, midway between Route 128 and Providence. The recent Dovetail update to BP might mean I have to remove this mod for this to stop happening on that updated release? Will test.

Edit: Tested without the mod, in free roam southbound from Route 128, and got within 15 miles of Providence, so it does seem to still be an issue with the updated route.
