A random collection of my smaller mods for cab sound occlusion and route bloom reduction.
Sound:
Bescot_BPEF40cabvolume : Balances the in cab audio on the Boston MBTA F40ph. In the default loco the audio practically went silent when you had the windows closed. TSW5
Bescot_BR155cabvolume : Balances the in cab audio on the DB BR155. In the default loco the external and motor audio practically went silent when you had the windows closed and was drowned out by the sound of the trailing wagons. TSW5
Bescot_BR182MRCEcabvolume : Balances the in cab audio on the HBK (MRCE) DB BR182. In the default loco the cab was drowned out by the sound of the trailing wagons. TSW5
Bescot_BR182RTcabvolume : Balances the in cab audio on the Rapid Transit (Traffic Red) DB BR182. In the default loco the external and motor audio practically went silent when you had the windows closed and was drowned out by the sound of the trailing wagons or DoStos. TSW5
Bescot-HSCES44cabvolume : Balances the in cab audio on the HSC ES44 so that the cab is better sound insulated from the prime mover when the doors and windows are closed. As you open each window and door the external sounds increase in volume. TSW5
Vision: Untested in 5 as of yet

The CoreUS mod made all of my european freight car flange sounds a deafening 1 second loop.
Ye. DTG use the US core freight sounds on stuff that wasn't meant to be like that. I guess pull the mod from the dlc folder when using euro stuff.
Can you please fix the bloom/over-driven gamma of the Horseshoe Curve route with a mod like this?
Done :) Bescot-TSW3-HSC-Bloomreduction.pak
Thank you, sweet Jesus! You made HSC driveable!
You're welcome!
Thank you very much for the BR 155.
Thanks a Lot for all this Mods !
Great job for the BR182 for Rapid Transit. Do you think you can do the same for the BR 182 MRCE for Hamburg-Lubeck? Thanks for yours mods.
Yes, I'll do that soon. I have looked at the MRCE version, and although you hear the lok running sounds better than the RT version, I also think the wagons behind are too loud inside the cab.
Thanks. I'm rediscovering the BR 155 and BR 182 with your mods :)
Glad you are enjoying the mods, The MRCE version is now done :)
I've already tried your mod, great. Thank a lot.
RTBR182 cab volume mod : very good ! Great
one thing I've noticed with the f40 sound mod is that at notch 8 with windows closed, there is no engine sound at all in the cab. other notches work fine, but it disappears at 8, so all you hear are the track sounds made by the passenger cars
I've just tested that again, and can't reproduce sorry - it works properly here (TSW3)
Probably cuz im soo used to playing with all windows open and the f40 does get real quiet with windows all closed. Btw, what exactly did you change with the us freight pack? Was it just volume reduction so it doesn't sound like you're hearing the freight cars in the cab?
CoreFreight, well I actually increased volumes of the cars, and this week I went back to the default flange squeal as DTG changed something in the core which made the flange sounds very odd at low speed.
The cabvolume mods are done by changing occlusion volume mixes- cabs have sound occlusion and without the mixes it would mean external sounds play the same volume inside the cab as outside. You want to strike the correct balance which DTG sometimes don't as they copy/paste them across different DLC - you can edit these mixes with UassetGUI editor and spend some time fixing them to control the internal volume of each external sound. Each stage of a door or window opening adds a mix - there are 10 levels of volume in total.
The sound of Bescot-CoreUSfreightcar is great, just what was needed! Good balance, nothing sticks out, everything is fine, thank you!
may i request a single .pak with all the fixes for the bloom?
With the F40, I don't notice any difference (to the engine) with or without the mod (TSW 3). In both cases, the engine is very quiet with the windows closed.
How much did you change it? Or is something not working right?
Not so much the volume of the engine with the F40, more the bogie running sounds and wind noises at speed - you couldn't hear them inside the cab. Might be a bit subtle unless you wear headphones.
Hi
I only install the BR 155 mod. now i have a BR185 sound in the 155. this is a little bit strange. :)
Sry nothing to do with your mod.
on HRR the Timetable DB 87100 make that the 155 sound like a 185
Great work. Without your sound rebalancing mod, the RT 182 is unplayable with the silent sounds. Why has DTG not fixed this yet, who knows.
is it possible to make the noise volume of cars 10 percent louder? Bescot-CoreUSfreightcarsounds
Thank you again for your work.
Small question: for the BRO PRESS BR155, is it possible to turn up the sound of the cooling fans because you can't hear it at all in the cabin? Like the other mod you did for the BR 155. Thank you in advance.
can you increase the in cab volume of the UP SD70ACe? it seems too quiet for a "thundercab" unit. if it had the isolated cab it might be accurate as default but it is not.
Didn't buy the DLC sorry man
Ebic update
I'm sure you'll do somethin with da AWS sound on your own ebic mod but I'm a bit deaf for high pitch tones and can't hear the AWS on the 700. Not sure why they made the joints so quiet either
I've got some excellent recordings of the joints for the 700. Some really hearty steal sounds that make the diaphragms rattle and gears rumble
Noice, look forward to that - I'll change/delete this mod when you've got that far. Was gonna ask a favour re the 313 but you don't take DMs.
Actually you reminded me I should go to the 508s and that to do the 313 from scratch
Ye, not much longer for the 508s. I went up there yesterday - such great sounding units with character. Tried the 313 an was reminded how clinical it sounds. Was wondering if you do for me, a cue for brake squeal and flange if you got time.
Could you please do a one pack of Bloom Reduction please?
Yes, at some point. I keep forgetting.
Been having some issue with mods not playing nice with TSW4.
up until the updates recently pushed out, all was okay with your mods.
But after installing / uninstalling several different mods it turned out the two sound mods.
BR 155 Increased Cab Volume (RSN) and BR 155 Increased Cab Volume (BRO)
Had TSW4 in an endless loading screen, I also uninstalled Core US Freight Cars Better Audio Balancing.
I will reinstall this one and see what happens. I will update this post if the mod is working or not.
I do have screenshots if you would like to see what I am seeing, I can put them in Google Drive, or upload them here.
That's odd. Are you on Steam? All TSW4 files work 100% for me. I'll check again when I'm at home though. You should be able to attach screenshots here.
Yes, I'm on Steam, and I have four screenshots, there could also be a mod conflict, unsure if that is so or which one.
Just try the traffic red version on its own please. Id forgotten that the BRO Press Blue one hadnt been updated for TSW4.
Reason being, is that at the time I didnt own BRO and couldnt test it. it was built with info given from another player
Images removed to un-clutter the thread. things have been worked out.
Okay that is working okay, :) the life of modding, I do appreciate all y'all do, just an FJI CSX and Norfolk Southern Safety Vest Update also caused the same issue, already sent a message, to the author. and you can remove the images if you wish, or if you like I can. so it does not clutter the thread.
No worries. I can't delete your posts so I'll let you do that :)
okay, I will remove them so they don't clutter things up. Should not have said and asked that here, apologies.
This just float up, does it means ALL mod are available for TSW5?
As none of the files have been updated, I guess Bescot just forgot to tick the "Minor Change Only" box when adding the TSW5 compatibility check.
Minor change tick kept crashing the website xd
I found it's better to just set bOverride_BloomIntensity to FALSE in the PostProcessVolume for the Bloom Reduction. 1.0 is still way too foggy imho, TOD4 uses 0.05.
Yeah I wouldn't advise using those bloom things these days. Aran's mods I think are better but I'll get around to doing something about them at some point.
I've got my own mod for that, but I don't upload out of respect for you and I don't think many even notice the difference :D
I have basically set all PPV Override Settings to FALSE, that includes the colour saturation amplifier on some routes.
Tharandter Rampe was interesting, it uses a TOD3.5 bp, and though being a TSW2 route it looks different because of that.
For daylight, I'm playing all the old routes in TOD4, which has no use for the PostProcessVolume anymore.
Upload away! I can delete these old ones
Just to make sure all are now TSW5 and the only one still supported and for TSW3 is ->> ^ TSW3 PRESS Blau (BRO version) I ask because I don't see it listed under Sound: above.
With Bescot-TSW3-BLK-Bloomreduction installed TSW5 + Enhanced ini file with Godmode + the Updaated Legacy Route Vegetation & Grass EP TSW5

Loving your mods but there's one issue I noticed with your core US freight car sounds. It also applies to European rolling stock which I don't mind but when going full speed with a freight train, the entire sound cuts off rapidly after around 33 seconds, fades in again and works for the next 33 seconds and so on. Sounds like the sound loop isn't fully seamless. Could you possibly look into this and make it run without being interrupted?

Why cant the intermodal loads be putted with EMP / JB Hunt / Etc -
Only thing you possibly could see on Norfolk Southern Trains is EMP and JB Hunt and the blue one.
