This page will contain all of the enhancements and patches I make for the WCML South route and its locos.
So far, it includes the Signage Branding Patch, my own Class 350 Branding Mod, and a weathering patch for the Class 377/2.
Please note that the Signage and Class 350 Patches on this page are now considered legacy versions and will not work with the WCMLS Enhancement Pack.

Additional Comments
I've tried to re-create the textures for the branding mods as accurately as possible with the limited resources that I have. If you think I can improve it in any way please leave constructive feedback. Thanks!

Brilliant :-)
Nice Job :)
Thanks for the positive comments everyone :)
Just added a new sign texture for Bletchley!
That was quick, Thanks!
Nice One - Makes the signs 100% better
Again a massive thumbs up and I knew that the moment that this was released without the LNWR brand, that it would be done by someone here at the Train Sim Community website, thanks for all the work that has gone into this.
@Kevf, It's funny that you say that as I, had the same thinking aswell. Let's hope that someone out there will make the LNWR branding that the class 350 is crying for.
Fingers crossed
Great, Thanks a lot,
Best regards
Denis
@Charlie Thank you for your dedicated time of bringing back the branded signage for stations along the WCML South. Quick question if you don't mind, I'm currently trying to make my project into a cooked .pak file, do you happen to know what source of video, documentation you followed in-order to create a cooked .pak as i'm currenly facing multiple errors and failures. Any advice on how to overcome this, is greatly apperciated.
Brill! Thanks a lot!
great job Charlie...thanks!
Great mod!
Fantastic Job Just need this on the trains if possible
I've had a look at this. Unfortunately in the case of the loco it's not as simple. I can do the appropriate colours and patterns, but the branding decals would need to be independent from the main livery texture due to the nature of how it's set up.
It definitely is possible as we've seen it done on the Island Line Class 484, but I'll need the help of a more advanced modder who can do a similar thing here (Happy to collab, if anyone's reading this!)
UPDATE: May have cracked it. I'm not promising anything, but I think I may be making progress on this.
Still, not 100% guaranteed but it's the furthest I've got.
nice!
Finally! After days of trying, I've been able to successfully add the branding onto the 350! Hope you guys enjoy.
There it goes. The 350 has been 350'd. Take the L, LNWR!
Couldn't agree more. TOC and same can be said for car manufactures they are WAN**** for when it comes to licensing real brands in the game or any game for that matter. I'm sure that you what that last word with stars is.
Splendid work charlie. I knew from the moment that when WCML south got released albeit 350 being unbranded that the community, is the only answer of bringing back branded content. :) Massive thumbs up from me :) If rating was added to this site, ill give it all stars
very nice! i suppose you can also add the green diamonds into the LNWR seats too?
Do you happen to have a clear reference image for this? Once I have this I'll see what I can do!
Yes i do! I just dont know how to send it lol
Could you upload it to discord then copy the link?
Seats have been retextured. Update will be coming soon along with the other improvements I mentioned
Thank you so much for your efforts; modders make this game! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
does this work alongside. or INSTEAD of the !EMKsignagepatch.pak
Delete that pak and put the !EMKBrandingPatch in. The sign and loco patches are both included in it.
thanks - fantastic work!
Hi, your add-on appears to break gaurd mode for the 350. Do you have any plans to fix this?
Sorry to hear this - I'm not quite sure what controls whether guard mode is available or not since it's not really been documented in terms of working with it using the editor. I'll see what I can do but I'm not promising anything.
whattttttt no way! poo guard mode appears broken i see now tho.
Yeah. No real way of re-adding guard mode sadly from what I can find. I've looked for anything that relates to guard mode in the route's and loco's data, and can't find anything, so it could be hard coded into the timetable in which case not much I can do. It's an unfortunate compromise.
In the next update which will include slight adjustments to the reflectivity of the decals and the intensity of the lime green colours, I will split the enhancements into 2 files so you can decide what patches you want - whether it be just the signs, or loco, or both.
A texture patch should not affect the gameplay in any way. First time I'm seeing this issue (Guard mode's not interesting any more after doing one run imho), but I'll take a look at the mod.
If possible, only supply the texture files as like you did with the station signage. I see you are patching a lot of blueprints also - can the mod not be done purely by replacing textures? You are introducing a new RVD and RVVs which is probably the reason for Guard mode failing - try to do the fix in place, not making a new RVV Branded class. (Edit RVV_LNWR_Class350-1_DMS1.uasset - don't make it a new RVV_LNWR_Class350-1_DMS1_Branded.uasset!)
Good job anyway! Keep it up!
Hi Spikee, thanks for your comment.
The reason why I did it by making a new RVV is because there would be no other way to apply the branding decals. Simply retexturing the model won't do much due to the nature of how the texture maps are set up, I also couldn't just directly modify or replace the RVVs in the EMK_Class350-1 content folder in the editor. It wouldn't let me.
Do you happen to have a discord where we could talk about this further? I'd love to get the guard mode functionality fixed and simply replace the main RVV instead of, as you say, making a new one. It'd be great to get some further guidance on this.
Could it be that the mesh is based on the "Operated by West Midlands Trains" variant that doesn't have the bright green triangles? I mean they removed it very quickly from the build - really only replacing the texture - I doubt DTG changed the mesh, maybe only the lettering beneath the windows was removed?
AP supplies your branding as LNWR1 and, the WMT based one as LNWR2 for their TSC Class 350 EP.
If so, you could make your current one a separate RVD, and only edit the textures for the default WMT variant. I guess that is what was supposed to be a game, and could be done quickly without even using the TSW editor (I'm using UE4.26 for cooking textures, and pack them with UnrealPak.exe manually.)
I wouldn't have thought that'd be the case - in some of their promotional material you can see it in the London Northwestern Railway branding, with the bright green bits at the end.
Would you be available to discuss this further with me on discord or somewhere tomorrow? I'd love to figure out a way to directly replace the default RVV instead of messing about with a new one which is likely the culprit for guard mode not working.
Ah, wasn't sure where to get TSW reference. I'll check back with you tomorrow and try to figure some things out (never done livery mod myself) :)
The conductor mode breaks for me & doesn't show the option to guard or the tickets in the menu. (still a good mod)
Yep, it's being looked into. I'm hopeful of a fix but I can't guarantee anything
Looks great! Would it be possible to apply some weathering? They look too clean imo.
In the next update I'll be reducing the brightness of the lime green parts and adjusting the reflectiveness of the decals. This should help to give it a more weathered appearance which will match better with the rest of the train.
Charlie, I will try to redirect to your mod from the original files using my external tools - and see if Guard Mode works then. Will take a bit of time :)
Ooh okay, let me know how it goes :)
Nevermind. The old masters were quicker :D
what happened with the earlier class 350 branding ?
Nevermind I see the other mod does that, great work you guys do
great work thanks for doing this :)
Splendid job man. welp modders saves the day haha
Good job !
Not sure if the person posting that the game was crashing due to "350 licensing mod" after doing a search I found my self here the tread has been locked so I can't ask the OP on DTG forums, I have your mods installed, and I'm not sure if your mod is it or one of them, or it's another mod. My game is set to read only the update pushed by DTG on 10-12-2024 hanot been applied, if you need time to update the mods please let me know and I will uninstallem for the being. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/resolved-game-crash-on-wcmls-scenario.87679/#post-941101
