Update Log
V1.5 - Final update to legacy versions
- Removed 5-car enabler pak. A new and improved 5-car unit will soon be available with the WCMLS Enhancement Pack, designed to work with Fawx's timetable!
- Updated LBN sub pak to be compatible with the upcoming new version.
The WCML sub pak on this page will remain unchanged, but will continue to be available to those that wish to use it as a substitution on the default timetable.
Please note that it will NOT be compatible with the WCML EP version!
V1.4
- Made slight adjustments to the textures at the end coaches.
- Replaced exterior First Class decal with a higher-resolution one.
V1.4 Patch 1: - Fixed 377 cab numbers in one cab.
V1.3 - LBN Version only:
- Cleaned up train selection list for BML.
- Fixed numbering on the 5 car formation when using with the LBN pak.
V1.2
- Fixed a texture bug where the silhouette of a GX window logo decal could be seen.
V1.1
- 5-car formation added to Scenario Designer and Free Roam.
- Implemented a visual fix to fill the gangway gap on the extra coach.
- Adjusted coach numbering to better match the 377/7s TOPS numbers.
V1.0
- Initial release.
After weeks of hard work, we are thrilled to present the community with the Class 377/7 in Southern livery, using the Class 387 from BML as a base.
Special thanks to ADSTRAINSUK for helping me set up the formations and substitution!
This train comes as its own variant in Southern livery with:
- Custom class and subclass numbering
- Custom interior and seat textures
- Prototypical Southern First Class decals
- Available on the WCML:S timetable and shares the Watford Jn - East Croydon services with the 377/2
- 50% chance to spawn as AI on WCML:S
- Spawnable in Free Roam and compatible with Scenario Planner
Of course, being based off of an existing train which cannot really be physically modified, this is likely the closest we'll get to a true 377/7. However, the two are broadly similar in real life anyway.
The only thing you may really notice between this and the real thing are:
- The slight differences in interior + seating arrangements (I have, however, been able to move the First Class section to the appropriate area)
Please note, in this version, the full 5-car formation cannot be substituted onto WCML or BML and so a 4-car version will be used instead.
We hope you enjoy this Class 377/7! Got constructive feedback? Please leave it below!
Requirements
Required for the train to work.
Not essential, but highly recommended.
Installation Instructions
Put the .PAK file into your TSW5 DLC folder.
Please note that the WCML sub version on this page exists as a legacy version, and will be incompatible with the new version which is designed to work officially with Fawx's WCML timetable.
Additional Comments
(WCML Sub only)
If driving on WCML, you will need to set the train to AC mode yourself. Set the train up, then press and hold the AC System Select switch until it illuminates, then hold the Pan Up button for around 7 seconds. You may notice that the pantograph is already raised by default, but the train has not yet registered it as such. AI drivers do not take that into account and drive anyway, which is why it works fine for AI services.

Very good
Thank you!
Would it be possible to have this and the 377/2 sub into the BML timetable?
I can discuss this with ADSTRAINS (the person who I worked with to make the sub work) and see what he says.
that's very much possible as all electro stars are the same length
the 377/7 for BML is done
Hi, I'm testing the pack and by the looks of it, it doesn't sub onto the BML, rather than the ECW.
what about the accelerate speed of /7 ? Do it faster in DC?
Is it not fast enough
nope -
sense you can add a gangway on 377/7
Can release a fix on all eletrostar possible ?
Got an update on the 5 car formation. I've been able to successfully allow a 5 car formation for Scenario Planner and Free Roam while still allowing the WCML sub to work with the 4 car formation (this I cannot change). The only caveat is that the gangways around the additional carriage will look a little strange due to how the models are set up, but the train still functions just fine.
Unfortunately the gangway issue with electrostars doesn't seem to be simple fix, it is present on official formation designer as well. The problem here is that train was made to work in 4 coach consist and noone thought back then about possibly making it flexible.
Really cool to have it, one thing I noticed is wrong is numbering for coaches themselves, those are just 387 numbering, for correct coach TOPS you can check here
The dynamic numbers (the last 3 #s) are linked via the same material for both the front and the coach sides which is built into the model so I will not be able to change that part without affecting the entire numbering system for the train, but I can probably replace the static numbers so it looks at least a bit more realistic. I'll take a look!
This is probably due to those last 3 numbers being exactly the same for all coaches and for the unit itself (for class 387/2 of course) so DTG most likely went the lazy way.
Yep, they are...
Just a quick note; for the MS coaches it's likely going to say 700 instead of 70 as the 387's MS uses the 2 twice in the texture map for the numbers (which is now of course replaced by a 0)
This is the best I can do
Always better than nothing, thanks!
Love this! So much effort clearly put in. Really sad about the 5th coach though, hope a fix can be found!
Hey! Thanks for the kind words :) Unfortunately when it comes to timetable substitutions nothing can really be done to add the extra carriage, as the trains that it substitutes are only 4 coaches. That's on the timetable's side unfortunately. However, I'm currently working on adding a 5th coach for the Free Roam and Scenario Planner formations, so you'll be able to use those if you wish!
Update: Done it, and got it working with the rest of it. (It was a huuuge pain!) I also improvised a cosmetic fix to address the gangway gap between the TSO and extra MSO coach. I'll get the update out soon, and it will also include the aforementioned coach numbering patch. (just make sure you also redownload the base pak when it releases)
Excellent work. Thanks for this.
This is amazing but for some reason since I installed this (and something else) the game keeps crashing. I uninstalled the other thing which was the major thing (I think) but the game keeps freezing and crashing, where I then have to restart the computer. Usually its only when I have the train on the route (like at Watford it keeps crashing) but once it did it at San Fernando. This probably is unrelated. I have never head any problem with the 700/1, or the 387
Hey. Thanks for reporting this, however I've never experienced such crashes myself. San Bernardino shouldn't be affected in any way as there's nothing in the mod that has anything to do with that route. I've done several tests on WCML and BML and the /7s load fine with no issues. As a result , I'm not sure what to suggest other than to try running it without any other mods, as it could be something else causing this.
First off, I just want to say how much I appreciate your work on this mod. Although it is a somewhat small addition, it is great to have more 377 subclasses. Second of all, I would like to make a request. I was wondering if it would be possible for you to make the class 350 subclasses (the 350/2,/3 and the /4.) I understand this is no small task and I would fully understand if you can't do it, but it would be hugely appreciated if you could make these trains. Thanks in advance.
This mod looks amazing!!!
But I am having trouble moving? Not got a clue why (on wcml btw) I changed it over to AC mode and shoes are up etc and it just doesnt drive, any ideas?
Make sure you've inserted the master key and set the reverser.
Hold the AC System Select down until it illuminates, then hold the Pan Up button down. You need to also hold this down for quite some time (7 to 8 seconds). Then that's it, you should be good.
I'm really enjoying the increased variety of 377s this mod gives, but I have one more question. Would you consider the possibility of making a class 377/3 and substituting it for class 313 services on East Coastway?
It's a good idea and I would love to do it, but /3s have different headlight clusters on the front, and that would be particularly difficult to implement given the limited scope of what you can do with existing train models.
this is honestly SO AWESOME!!!! Apart from not having 5 carriages which is much understandable. I can finally have a consistent livery and have 2 units pair up with each other!! I didnt know until the WCML EP was out. THank you thank you!!!!
There unsure is this on purpose, but should the /7 been layered on to the East Croydon to Milton Keynes route? Being that they currently opearte the diagram up to Watford Jucntion.
will the BML version have 5 carriages soon? good mod btw
Always wanted a 377/7 on TSW, this is amazing. I suggest making a 377/5 using the /2, we really need one in TSW. The /5's have been used on FCC, Thameslink and Southeastern so there is some variety in possible liveries with them.
Someone help it sounds like a 350
I dont know how
it ok i had a mod 387 sound like 380
How do i make it to a 5 car
