This mod changes the audio on the locomotives for the Sand Patch Grade Route.

EDIT 8/23/2021: I repackaged the sounds to work in 4.26, added a new AC4400CW soundset, and new horns.
EDIT 8/27/2021: Fixed not playing unspatialised audio for the AC4400CW, added C40-8W soundset and horn.
EDIT 8/27/2021(2): Changed GP38-2 radfan audio.
EDIT 3/23/2022: Added new CSX SD40 soundset, available if one has the New Journeys Expansion. Thanks to Yuri for compiling the PAK.
Requirements
CSX: Sand Patch Grade Route (Base Game)
CSX: C40-8W DLC (Only for C40-8W Soundset)
Train Sim World 2: New Journeys Expansion (Only for CSX SD40)
Installation Instructions
Drop the .pak(s) into your DLC folder (Train Sim World 2\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC).
ONLY FOR C40-8W: If soundset doesn't work in-game, move "TS2Prototype-WindowsNoEditor-SPGC40-8W.pak" from the "DLC" folder into the "Paks" folder.

Very good sounds! sounds just like the real thing! But i think that notches 5 , 6 , 7 and 8 should be louder in the SD40-2! could you make them louder please?Also, could you please make this sound compatible with the UP SD40-2 in Cane creek and the GP40-2 in tsw2020?
These sound great. Will you be doing the same for the peninsula corridor, cane creek, and oakville sub locos as well?
I plan on doing oakville sub after the preservation update. I've refunded cane creek, and peninsula corridor doesn't hold enough interest. If you want to you're free to recompile my mod for them, I would like the credit if you want to upload it!

Will there be a mod for the dash 8?
Yes! Once I'm able to get available recordings I will make it, so far I only have the horn that I want to use. If people are OK with it I might use the AC4400CW's audio as a stopgap.
I'd certainly be OK with The AC44 sounds as an interim solution

Just create a DLC folder in content and place you mod pak files there
I named the folder "DLC" and it still did not work. I have the Epic Games version.
Just wondering. After applying all sounds to CSX, I did a tutorial with SD40-2 and the breaks don't work anymore.

What happened to the turbo sound in notches 3 , 4 and 5 in the CSX SD40? The turbo is barely audible. in clinchfield it sounded much better. is it something that happened during the porting of the sounds? could you please fix this to sound like clinchfield?
Personal preference. I like the different ones better and it adds some variety.
Yes , but it is not about personal preference or variety my friend. it's about how the real thing sounds. and it is wrong in these notches ,in all honesty. it was much closer to reality in Clinchfield.

Paris, not trying to be mean or anything but Griggs probably has a life outside of modding sounds all day. He can do what we wants but appreciate there is a sound mod in the first place to replace the not so good dtg sounds. if he chooses to fix it, then he fixes it. if not, just live with it :)

Arch , he has responded to other comments! i didn't say he must be modding sounds all day but he can give a simple answer so that we know what he will do! i appreciate there are mods but in this case unfortunately , i had to revert back to the stock dtg sound which is much better in these notches. besides , he had goten it right the first time! why not just port it as it was exactly in clinchfield? or tell us how to use the clinchfield sound in the CSX SD40? it makes no sense
Hi griggs. if it is possible to change some volumes id like to mention this. i think the AC44CWs prime mover is too quiet and the radiator fans are too loud. the traction motors are fine as they are. also the GP38s horn is waay too quiet. keep up the good work!

Should be, the engine hasn't changed. I should note that I haven't bought TSW3 so I'm unable to confirm myself.
it does work in tsw3, you just dont get alot of the cool horn effects

It seems like the sounds only apply to locomotives that are closest to you when you spawn or load in, and all other locomotives go silent until you get a loading screen around them.

I ask because I'm a bit unsure.
SD402 is for the SD40-2 that comes with the route and SD40 is for the new journeys expansion pack SD40
Talk about being Late to the party, I apologize for not getting back to you, I thank you for clearing this up for me. Been spending more time going through mods to figure out what works and doesn't, due to mod game conflicts.
