In the 1970s and 80s, FMC was a prolific railcar builder, most notable for their boxcars. However, among their catalog was the 4700 hopper. While Burlington Northern owned a majority of the cars built, several railroads and leasing companies alike also purchased the car, most using it for bulk commodities. Most of these cars remain in service today, albeit under new owners and assignments.
Included in this pack are 4 skins of the ABS' 4700 hopper, with multiple weathering options to represent a variety of different eras. Presently included are:
These cars follow ABS' naming conventions, and appear with the included skins of the 4700. These cars come with Searchlight Simulations sounds and Defect Detector Scripts.
To install this pack, drag and the drop the included zip file to your Railworks installation, then copy "Hopper.GeoPcDx" from Assets/ABStudios/Covered Hoppers/Railvehichles/Freight/FMC 4700 Hopper BN 01 to all of the new folders.
To activate this pack in the scenario editor, tick "Covered Hoppers" under ABStudios, "FMC 4700 Hopper Pack" under geepeethirty, and FRT under Searchlightsimulations. These cars are not quick drive compatible.
As usual, I've attached a PDF with information on all of the cars included.
On all of these hoppers some text should be present on the ends, however I was unable to find a single legible photo of any car with this text. For now, it is missing, if I manage to find a reference for said text I will update the pack.
All skins by me, weathering by ABStudios, SS compatibility by TheBrocc, and as always thanks to Pete Willard at RailSimStuff for the use of the carknocker, phantom stencil, and WP Gothic fonts.
