Super Shot

Description

Set in April of 1993, your relativitly quiet shift aboard the 1-448 out of Winslow has been interupted--the 2-991 has been delayed, and with the crew about to time out, the dispatcher is having you switch trains to keep the hotshot moving. Starting at Williams Junction, you are now the engineer of the 2-991, and will take the train to Winslow where a fresh crew will take over. This train has priority over every other train on the route, barring Amtrak, and with it already behind schedule, the dispatcher will do anything he can to make up some time.

This scenario is around 90 minutes long, and isn't too hard.

The signalling is...bad, to say the least. For the first half of the scenario, you will be catching up to/ follwoing a train in front of you, and the signals rarely display the correct aspect for this. Use the minimap, it's really the only way to actually know where the train ahead of you is.

The trains in this scenario have been completely remade. Stock and locomotive variety is still lower than it should be, but it is overall much more accurate to the Santa Fe in 1993.

As usual, payware requirements are linked below, all freeware requirements are linked in the manual, as is more prototype and scenario info.
