Maple Creek Scenario Pack

Description

A set of (currently 4) scenarios for TheBrocc's excellent Maple Creek Subdivision. These 4 scenarios are set in the modern era after the CPKC merger, featuring power from both roads. Another set of 2 is in progress, those will be added here once they're done.

118 East

Train 118 is a mixed intermodal/manifest/autorack, and one of the highest priority trains to cross the Maple Creek sub. On a cloudy winter afternoon, you've stepped onboard this train at Medicene Hat, and will make the sprint across the Creek to Swift Current. As a high prio, your stops will be limited, but with the winter sun setting in just a few short hours, you'll still be out on the railroad after dark. Your power is a KCS SD70ACe, with an AC44 trailing and mid train. This scenario is a single part, and takes 280 minutes to complete.

701 West

Conversly, train 701 is one of the lowest priority trains on the route, made up of emtpy autoracks returning to west coast ports. On a summer afternoon you've boarded a 701 in Swift Current, and must face heavy oncoming traffic, all of it higher priority than you. Keep your hand on the brakes; you'll be stopping a lot. Your power is a single SD70ACu on the headend with an ACe cut in midtrain. This is a three part scenario, with each part taking 80, 75, and 120 minutes to complete.

As usual, payware requirements are marked below, all the freeware requirements are linked in the readme, as is a bit more protoype information.
It's an honor to make scenarios using a ton of good stock on a good route, we'll be back with more for sure.

Requires SS Store version for repaints used! If enough people don't have it, I do have copies of the scenarios without the KCS AC44s (aka steam version friendly) that I can distribute.

JR SD70ACU CP | Searchlight Store

Also duh

Additional Comments

701 was originally tested with an ACe (hence the screenshots), but it was swapped to an ACu so that 118 would not have 2+ hour parts with an engine that could not save and load.
