Description

A heavy coal merry-go-round working, confounded by heavy rain. This scenario has you driving from Wath Yard to Godley Jn with 2000 tonnes of coal and two bankers behind you.

This was a blast to make, and even includes some custom assets made by my girlfriend, Ane, which I then imported into TSC.
This also includes voicelines for communications from the banker via ClearCall! They were voiced by yours truly, then were edited by Ane to make them sound more realistic.

During this scenario there is a long pause just before Dunford Bridge. This is here both in case players have issues getting up the 1 in 40 Wentworth slope, and so that the 1M19 passenger train can pass. For this reason, I recommend either leaving your computer to make yourself a snack or a cup of tea at this point, and/or having EnableAsyncKeys enabled so you can use CTRL+Shift+4 to speed up the wait.
On top of this, the part at Wath Yard at the start is rather performance intensive due to the high number of static consists. If this is an issue, I'd recommend using TS-Tools or LocoSwap to disable some, however, I have taken steps to make this area lighter by using the Newbuoy Low Polygon Wagons pack.

The scenario itself is set in August 1968, and is based on the following WTTs (sourced from https://timetableworld.com):

  • London Midland Passenger WTT Section M (BR 31005/2) Valid 6/5/1968-4/5/1969
  • London Midland Freight WTT Section M (BR 31008/2) Valid 7/10/1968-4/5/1969
  • Eastern Region Passenger WTT Section C (BR 31239/3) Valid 6/5/1968-4/5/1969
  • Eastern Region Freight WTT Section N (BR 31240/5) Valid 7/10/1968-4/5/1969

All in all, I've put a lot of effort into this scenario and I hope you enjoy it! Make sure to read the briefing and the message boxes that will pop up throughout the running of the scenario!
You may use some of the assets in this for your own projects, just be sure to read the LICENSES.txt file in the root of the 7zip archive. I've also left the non-compiled Lua file in the folder too, so feel free to reference that if you'd like.

Making scenarios like this takes a lot of time, and costs some money due to costs associated with acquiring timetables. For this reason, I have a Ko-Fi, and any small amount helps! You can find my Ko-Fi here: https://ko-fi.com/ic5146
