Metra F40PH enhancement pack

You shouldn’t need to buy anything besides the route. I included the SS flares in this pack for you. Other than that the gevo 12 pack was freeware and should come back once the website is back up.

i wonder how one adds ss light flares to other trains.

I could add more flares to it and a quill if you want

It’s in railworksAmerica and I think it’s called “metra signage and logos”. You can probably just search Metra and find it too.

You need to own payware f40ph caltrain enhancement pack from ss which is currently not available.

It should hopefully be back soon. I’ll update this as soon as it is.

I explain how to do it in the instructions. Once you buy the pack you’ll get the proxy files then you copy them to the f40ph engine directory and rename them. I’m just explaining what works for me.

You can just include the proxy files, searchlight have told me they're fine with it

Ok then ill update it today, Im also gonna do some testing with the headlights to see if i can get all the headlights with flares

Yes, i have it. The searchlight RPM controller is "VirtualRPM" while the default F40PH one is "RPM", so they wouldn't be compatible with each other

So do the sounds dont work for you or is the rpm off. I get sounds perfectly fine.

The RPM values work but since the proxy files alias to an audio controller that doesn't exist in the F40PH bin file there is no audio

Are you trying to use the bin file or the proxy files?

It wouldn't matter as they would both alias to the same thing

Well I don’t know what your trying to do because it works fine for me. Have you followed the instructions not using the proxy files and only the bin file?

as i've said, neither method would work because the RPM controlvalues are different to what the default F40 uses

I get what your saying but rpm controls shouldn’t matter if your switching the bin file. Do you want me to make a video about it if it would help?

I know how to install it, but the RPM controls matter regardless of which method you use as they still point to identical Proxyxml files that reference the wrong RPM controller

Yes, replace it in the proxyxml

I just checked and the F40PH and searchlight proxy files both say "VirtualRPM" do you want me to include my F40PH proxy files so they match?

For me they say RPM

You can only turn ditchlights off in the cab car using the different headlight switches.

Trust me i've looked into it many times, Just hard to find any MP36 engine sounds on the web.

please help, im also trying to change the direction of the cab car from the horn pack aswell, i have no idea how to do this
