HIS Bozeman Pass Locomotive Physics & Sound Mod

Description

This is a sound and physics mod for the locomotives included with High Iron Simulations' Bozeman Pass.
The sound pack includes the following...

  • RPM adjustment for the SD45 Engine Sounds
  • Old Cast P3 for the Northern Pacific SD45 and GP9 (Credit to Stephen Bulla, HORNMASTERS)
  • Leslie RS3K for the Burlington Northern SD45, GP30, and GP9 (Credit to Mikiwikistown)
  • Hand-Rung Steam Locomotive Bell for the GP9 (Credit to Mikiwikistown)
  • EMD Bronze Bell for the SD45 and GP30 (Credit to Mikiwikistown)
  • Leslie A200 for the FT and SW1200 (Credit to Stephen Bulla, HORNMASTERS)
  • Early EMD Bronze Bell for the FT and SW1200 (Created by Me, From a YouTube Source I Can't Find Anymore)
  • 16-567B Sounds for the FT (UTS Creations)
  • Fixes the No Audio Error for the 2-Bay Covered Hopper and Wide Vision Caboose
  • Krellnut's Freight Car Sounds Added

      Note: This does not include the Ex-CB&Q nor Ex-NP numbers, as they had different specs from the BN SD45 included.
    • GP30: #2200 to #2216 (Ex-GN)
      Note: All other numbers have been elimitated, as the rest of the numbers are Ex-CB&Q, which had different specs.
  • Coupler Slack Adjustments:

    • MaxDistance set to 0.1
    • TargetDistance set to 0.05
    • SpringCoefficient and Damping set to 0

Credit goes to Fan Railer for the original physics mod for the GP30 and GP9. The FT partially uses his F7 Physics Mod. The SD45 partially uses his SD40T-2 Physics Mod.

To install...

  • Drag and Drop the "Assets" folder here...
    • (C):\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks
  • Overwrite when asked to do so.

Additional Comments

1/20/2025 Update: I've elimintated the internal air hiss for the GP9 bell, as it is hand-rung, not air-powered.

9/1/2025 Update: I renamed the interior bronze bell sound included in the P3 folder, as there was no interior bell audio. Also added the missing interior hand-rung bell to the RS3K folder.
