Jump back in time to the end of 2019 when HSTs were making their final runs on the ECML!
The timetable is set in mid-December 2019, one of the last days that the famous High Speed Train would operate mainline revenue earning services on the East Coast Main Line. Introduced in 1978, the HST revolutionized high speed travel on the ECML, slashing journey times from Kings Cross to Edinburgh by one hour. Its final run was on December 15th, operating the 1935 service from London Kings Cross to Leeds. HST services are represented in the timetable of course, with workings coming from LNER’s unit working notice on December 11th.
Services
This timetable’s services are based on the Network Rail May-December 2019 WTT on a Wednesday, along with some extra workings that wouldn’t have realistically ran on that day but add to the gameplay. There are a total of 1799 services and 301 playable, with more details listed below:
- 5 Class 08 services
- 1 CLS Class 37/NR Class 97 service
- 10 LNER Class 43 services

Known Issues
IMPORTANT - read before reporting any bugs
- Level crossings lower slightly too late in this route, causing signals change to green from a more restrictive aspect at the last second.
- There may be significant lag and blurry textures in the Doncaster area as there are a lot of static formations. You can turn these layers off if they are affecting gameplay.
- The gangway door from coach M to L in the LNER HST can not be opened. This is due to how the train is set up, I’m unsure if I can change this.
Future Plans
- Addition of diverted Caledonian Sleeper services and railtours (these were originally planned to be included in the initial release, however an issue arised with the layers not simulating)
- Add HHA wagons and Class 70 when they are released
- More liveries (special liveries for the LNER Class 43, 800 and 801, DRS Class 47 for the GWR Mk3 stock move, Class 08724 and 47703 at Doncaster)
- Nameplates for the appropriate units
Manual
A manual has been included in the zip file. You can see this for more details on the timetable.
