Once again, because the payware creators can't seem to represent modern operations on the Canyon Sub, here one is.
Union Pacific symbol MNPRV is a heavy manifest that runs from North Platte to Roseville daily, utilising the lighter grades of the Ex-WP over the Serria Nevada. In this scenario, you will take a massive MNPRV down the length of the Canyon Sub in a single part, which will take the better part of 5 hours.
This scenario is set in summer of 2017, when really, not much was happening on the route. UP was barely running any eastbounds, with the exception of "dirty dirt" train, for which the stock does not exist in game, and BNSF was only routing 3-6ish trains a day over the subdivision. Throw in your trainlength and priority and you end up not stopping a single time between Portola and Oroville. Thus this scenario amounts to pretty much a quickdrive with dispatcher conversations and more complex AI movements, but that's the reality of the canyon, both in 2017, and now.
Once agan, the signaling is awful, and never displays the correct aspects, so you're better off not even using them; you've got green the whole way.
As usal, payware requirements are linked below, all the rest is freeware and linked in the manual, as is more prototype and scenario info.
