In the early 1970's, the Milwaukee Roads Pacific Extension was looking up, with traffic on the rise and the daily train traffic up to three days each direction a day. One of these trains was the "Dead Freight East/West" which, as the name implies, was a low priority drag that was run as an extra until mid-1971, when it became trains 265/256 in the timetable. In this scenario, set in March of 1971, you will be in charge of the "Dead Freight East," running as extra E50, from Butte to Three Forks. Your power is EF-2 set E50, which was a unique set in that E50A and B were never painted into the two tone livery and remained in the old tri-color one. Your train consists of almost entirely empty hoppers and grain boxcars, which means you do not need a helper set for the lighter grades of Pipestone's West slope.
This scenario is a single part, and takes around three hours to complete.
This scenario makes full use of MILW train order operation and the wondeful voltage feature Milepost included with the boxcab (which is the only reason this scenario exists, otherwise I would have just waited for the Searchlight power to drop).
Also utilized is the AP Cloud Pack, with a cloudscape similar to that of the photos of the player train. If you don't have the cloud pack/AP weather you will see the default sky.
The route is the only payware requirement this time, everything else is freeware and is linked in the readme, as is more protoype and scenario info.

Make sure you have the most recent patch of the MILW 40 footers! If you don't you will not be able to get the train moving!
