This mod serves as a general enhancement pack for Sand Patch Grade (SPG), the oldest route in TSW!
Fixed the ditchlights to allow them to flash.
Adds compatability for 3 part horns. (note: this doesn't change the sound on it's own)
Fixes gauge brightness under TOD4 (this most likely requires TOD4 to be enabled through another mod)
Adds a quillable 3 part horn to the engine, including a new control for the horn. Audio cut by Camoguy54321!
Adds difficulty tags to the engine (in the menus).
Fixes Raildriver support with the horn.
Fixes headlight brightness being too dim.
Fixes the YN2 paint which is absent in the base game. (merged from YN2 patch mod, this will have more done in future)
Fixes gauge brightness under TOD4 (this most likely requires TOD4 to be enabled through another mod)
Added suspension.
More patches and engines will be added to this pack over time.
11.15.24: First Release.
11.17.24: Fixed the ditchlights and spotlights being backwards (this was an issue with the base engine, not caused by the mod).
12.20.24: Fixed the ditchlights to only flash when horn the is pressed. Also added an "end horn" to the horn for compatibility with sound mods.
12.29.24: Changed name to SPG EP, also added new enhancements for the SD40-2 and merged my GP38-2 mod.
06.12.25: Finally pushed the update for the gauges for the GP38-2.
11.13.25: Added suspension to the C40-8W.
Optional: Horn mod that makes use of the new 3 part horn on the AC4400CW
Required: For gauge fixes on the SD40-2. This mod also fixes some lighting issues in SPG.
Warning: Other TOD4 mods may be compatable with SPG EP, but I only officially support this one for my own sanity.
Experience the challenge of hauling heavy CSX freight through the tight and winding Alleghenies. Navigate the vast Cumberland Yard on complex switching duties, and do battle with nail-biting grades, all in Train Sim World®: Sand Patch Grade.
TSW6:
Simply place the .pak file in ...\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld6\Saved\UserContent (note: not verified to work on anything other than the Steam release of TSW6)
Also ensure you have mods enabled in your settings.

Good job !
The GP38 has black arrows on black gauges.
I haven't changed anything on the GP38, this is a known issue with Sand Patch Grade though and will be fixed with this mod eventually.
Thank you! Can you also please fix GP38 gauge light?
When I get time to make patches for the GP38 I will, currently I've only been able to get to the AC44 and SD40-2.
Thank you for the GP38 fix!
this is very minor but, will there be a fix to the Ac44's reflective tape?
The SD40-2 mod causes scenarios with objectives requiring sounding of the horn to be uncompletable presumably due to the quillable 3 part horn being incompatible with the scenario scripts/objectives that are checking if the player has blown the horn. Tested/discovered in the scenario "Ice and Snow" in SPG on TSW6
That would make sense. I'll look into getting that fixed.
The lastest update that added the suspension from the Santa Fe C40-8W to the CSX C40-8W, could you do it for the sherman hill SD40-2? High Iron said the Santa Fe SD40-2 is a copy of the Sherman Hill one, just wondering if its possible?
I also just remembered, would you be able to fix the headlights on the Sherman Hill SD40-2? The headlight is being casted as if the headlights are on the nose. This is especially visible when in fog.
The guage light fix on the SD40-2 only works when its on Sand Patch Grade. Doesn't even work on BOW where the locos are naturally in timetable mode.
A small observation regarding the suspension of the C40-8W:
The suspension behaves as if the Bogey were a two-axle instead of a three-axle; it's wrong in the DLC too (I assume that's the reason for the problem). If you have time, could you fix it?
What I don't understand is how the SD40-2 is fine, being from the same developer, but it's wrong in the C40-8W; it seems as if DTG is the one who made that DLC.
I just installed TSW6 Editor and Unreal Engine and it's uncharted territory for me. I've done things in TSC and Farming Simulator but I still don't know how to do anything with TSW6 Editor.
Thanks guys, everyone for making TSW better...
We can't edit suspension values. High Iron Simulations is known for really poor quality DLCs from Train Sim Classic, so while Dovetail Games made the SD40-2 suspension model, High Iron made the C40-8W one.
If you don't like the suspension being added to the C40-8W, you can remove that specific mod.
Remove it?... No... it's great that you did it, I just thought it could be edited. You do a good job, and I'd like everyone to have suspension, including all the towed rolling stock. The American Freight side has gotten the worst of it; they've never been updated.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all the new content will work as it should...
And thank you for dedicating time to TSW and improving things....
Had the same issue with Slenderman7676 comments. Some..."Scenario's" that require the horn isn't being read as the binary horn. which is not a huge deal, I just turn the mod off, complete and turn it back on after but worth a look if still working on it or not :)

Thank you, it's all about the realism for this game.
