Finally, the Class 700 is here for Train Sim World - one of the most modern commuter concepts on Britain's railway network. This sound mod takes recordings of the Thameslink Class 700s and produces them into this DLC using custom mixes to match. Take this Siemens set for a spin with this clear audio!

- Both AC and DC clips recorded from the Class 700 in and out of central London
- Iconic PCFM sounds on DC reproduce the "UFO" at crystal clear definition using several pitch-curved clips
- Magnetisation sounds for both AC and DC modes - realistic for the Desiro City
- Synchronisation sounds for the motors are implemented - previously missing from Armstrong Powerhouse
- Clear exterior rolling audio which produces the wheel/rail sound made by the Siemens SF7000 bogies
- Usual distance-fading effects maintain the natural approach and passing of the train
Epic Track Joint & Flange Recordings
- Featuring recorded interior track joints that shake up all the seats, racks, doors and diaphragms
- Recorded exterior traction joints put the thud into the Class 700
- Slow, intermediate, and fast flange squeals with additional oneshots
Clear Horn Audio
- High, low and depot horns for the train are recorded and implemented
- Separately mixed interior and exterior sounds with air-absorption effects
- Dedicated horn switch sounds inside the cab
Detailed Miscellaneous Noise
- Recordings of seats, rails, doors, screens, luggage rucks, and gangway diaphragms rattling on the interior
- Dedicated gearbox, wheelflat, and bogie rumble sounds on the interior
- Clear and louder safety system alarms remixed
Known Issues
- Partially fixed players losing the quietest playing sound of the inverter in the prescence of other moving trains

This is a lovely mod, but I noticed the horn (in particular the high tone and the depot warning) are shifted to the right a lot, to the point where it doesn't even seem to come from the train itself in the external camera.

ICE 3 soundmod would be great for at some point in time, as its one of the only left out trains that dont gain much attraction in TSW i guess (this is the most stupid thing i just wrote)

...go see the trains IRL to get the top realistic sound effects experiences, which I am going to do on monday to wednesday, travelling to a station, by ICE, to see ICEs only :)) ((and see them pass with 300 metric speed units))
I've noticed the sounds when passing just start playing when it nears your camera rather than fading in, then out as it passes you. You can hear this at around 50 - 100MPH. This applies to the DTG version, but maybe I just didn't install it correctly (I put it in the DLC folder), unless this is something that needs to be added
No this is a limit I personally put in place. It's higher than the original but any more running sounds and motors will cut óut
Right so it turns out I had made a mistake and the mod wasn't installed correctly.
What I can suggest is that the pitches on the horn seem higher than they normally should. It makes it sound like it was recorded on a 717. The depot whistle sounds like a regular desiro city, however has the effect that the train is already moving towards you at 20MPH, even when at a standstill.
The doppler effect is 0.99% frequency so it doesn't need to change

Actually, I don't know... I am using the TSW Mod Manager to install all modpacks. I downloaded it here and used the TSW Mod Manager to install it in the correct directory. When I started driving the train, it worked, but it was very quiet. So I restarted TSW 3, and then it didn't work anymore. The 'stutter' was there again, but it was different from the original one. It was like your soundpack and the stutter combined... If I can I try to send you a short clip.

I found the problem! If I switch to AC-Mode, sounds are working but when I turn on DC-Mode, then the sounds dont work anymore. And while writing my update, I saw that you released a new update! xD
Yeah. But something like that isn't something that I could fix anyway. The motor sounds haven't changed for about 3 or 4 versions.
Hello sorry to be such a pain but i have a few things about this sound mod that i would like to see happen to it as its to much on the ear the flying pass that u had the other day last week was 100% great but today i got your update and its not nice to the ear also the sounds inside the driving area are way to loud even with windows up that needs turning down also the horn sounds need a touch turning down as well so just a few areas i like to see fixed for this to become a 100% pure great sound mod if u can take this on board that be great i have also had others say the same thing to me about this mod
The Class 700 is not as quiet a train as you might like to think it is. The horn itself is quite loud in the cab. I understand that The Aussie Don might think it's too loud, but other Brits have said the horn definitely needed to be louder and punchier than the original. And of course, by my recordings and other references on YouTube (which you should consider searching too), I agree completely. Running sounds however? Sure, I can rebalance them for the outside so that they don't get so loud with speed. But on the inside, the gears rumble a lot so those can stay the same loudness.

Fantastic release like all your work. I do like the sounds from the cab or with window open everithing is far more crisp an detailed.
I did spot a small issue after you pass 76-80 MPH a strange multiple clicking sound like someone would be pulling a lever multiple notches starts looping itself once each 10 seconds or so and continues to 90 MPH. Just to test it try a run on London Brighton since there you can actually get to higher speed.
If you could take a lock would be really nice. Is not extremely annoying but at least i wanted to let you know about this :)

I know the sound you're talking about. You will be surprised to know that this is a DTG/AP sound that was not looped properly by them. This sound is audible from 30mph and becomes loudest at 90mph. I won't fix it until I dig up the replacement recording on probably Tuesday/Wednesday where I'll implement a variety of sounds and look at flange and track joints too.

Well i know the standard is not so high with DTG most of the time but getting a static sound into a loop and not noticing it? that is something new :) . Its not that noticeable for me until i am near 80 MPH but since i drive with windows open at lower speeds and keep volume lower that's a reason i did not notice it earlier.
I don't think DTG will ever fix it, but since you are working on a replacement run sound and also some new flange sounds(also loped horrible by DTG), that is good news!

Absolutely amazing mod! SO glad you put back the "click" sounds of the horn lever!
I do have an issue though, I have massive bassy rumbling sounds but they seem to only come from the right side of the cab (very disturbing when using headphones).

If you haven't already switched to V11, do so. I always use headphones and Bescot confirmed that the giga rumble was solved in V10. At the moment, it's very quiet.

This is a great pack! Id love to hear a mini sound pack for the 323, as the run sounds are incorrect (they sound a lot louder IRL).
