This reskin contains a SouthEastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) reskin for the Siemens ACS-64 Locomotive in The Boston Sprinter DLC. This texture is meant to be used in conjunction with my SEPTA rolling stock reskin for the ACS-64's in game Amfleet rolling stock but can be used solo if you would so wish. Any feedback on this will be very appreciated :)
SEPTA opperates primarily in Philadelphia but also in nearby New Jersey and Delaware. On May of 2015, SEPTA Signed a $118 million contract for the purchasing of 13 Siemens ACS-64s in order to replace their 7 AEM-7s and 1 ALP-44 for standard push-pull operations. The first locomotive was delivered on December 14, 2017, and was soon met with an increase of 13 ACS-64s to 15, resulting in a final price of $154 million spent on the upgrade - soon entering service on July 11, 2018, numbered SPAX 901 -- SPAX 915. This was all made possible after Pennsylvania passed Act 89 on the 25th of November, 2013, which was a comprehensive piece of legislation that invested a total of $2.3 billion - $2.5billion into the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). The ACS-64s were chosen by SEPTA due to their safety, reliability, efficiency, and power - coming equipped with a FastBrake New York Air Brake System and an Electronically Controlled Pneumatic Brake System that worked with the company's push-pull requirements for a locomotive.
