A new version of the website, with some new (long requested) features and some fixes, has just gone live:
Comments from blocked users are now hidden by default
You can now browse the site without seeing comments from people you've blocked. They're automatically hidden, but if you want to you can read them anyway (like on Discord).
Hide comments on your content
You can now hide individual comments on your mods or community posts. Hidden comments show a subtle notice with a Show link.
I have added a ticketing system to the website. This allows you to reach out to the site team should you need assistance with something relating to the website.
The ticketing system can be found by clicking on the user menu and then clicking Tickets.
Please note that the ticketing system is not intended for technical support with mods or games, as the website's team is not equipped to help with that.
You can now add spoilers and expandable sections to all places where you can enter rich text such as mod descriptions, comments and community posts.
Adding a spoiler works like this:
Here is some ||spoilered text|| for your eyes only.

An expandable section works like this:
|||Expandable section
This is an expandable section, which is collapsed by default.

Expandable sections can be nested.
I've added a new feature to this website: birthdays. When it's your birthday, you'll get highlighted on the website's homepage - isn't that nice?
If you've got your TSC account linked to your Discord account, you'll automatically get a role assigned on our Discord servers* when it's your birthday.
You can set your birthday here.
I've just pushed version 1.29 of the website live, and it's a big one.
As the sizes of TSW mods keep going up, I've prepared this website for the future. In this update, I've raised pretty much eradicated file upload limits altogether. I have also changed the way file uploads are handled, to streamline the process.
This means:
Hello there and welcome to the 28th iteration of the Train Sim Community website. In this update, long requested functionality to block users has been added to the website.
You can block someone by going to their profile, clicking the arrow to the right of 'Subscribe', and then clicking 'Block'. If you were subscribed to them, this will automatically unsubscribe you. Blocked people won't be able to respond to your mods (where you're either the author or a collaborator) and you won't get any notifications from them either.
Furthermore, I have done some under the hood optimisations. The website now runs on .NET 8, and I hope to have tackled a long-standing issue where the website gradually slows down over time until it crashes and restarts (but no promises!).
Eagle eyed site visitors might have noticed a new button at the top of their screens - The Train Sim Community Wiki has opened its doors!
After being first suggested a year ago, the release of the Train Sim World 4 PC Editor beta gave new incentive to push through with the idea of a Train Sim Community Wiki. A few pages on Train Sim World, including guides for using the PC Editor have already been created, but as this is a wiki feel free to log-in with your existing Train Sim Community account and help creating a centralized place for knowledge surrounding Train Simulation by contributing yourself!
Alongside the imminent launch of Train Sim World 4 will be the beta version of the long anticipated public editor! This opens up a whole slew of opportunities, and we can't wait to see what you have in store.
To facilitate sharing, a new category has been added to our site: PC Editor Creations. For now this category will be a "catch all" bucket for creations which don't fit in any other category yet. We will add additional categories in the future, once the wider modding community gets up to speed with the tools.
As a reminder, our friendly Discord server has an active section about all things modding:

The Terms of Use of this website have been updated, to clarify which language is expected to be used when you use the site.
As this website attracts a broad audience from all over the world, a common language helps to keep the site available to and understandable by the broadest possible audience. Therefor, use English when you contribute to or comment on our website.
Please take a moment to re-read and familiarise yourself with the Terms of Use.
With this release of the site, the functionality to mention other users by name is now available. Simply type an @ followed by (part of) their name and select it from the the pop-up menu which follows. The people you mention will get notified automatically.
Don't want to receive notifications when you get mentioned? You can turn them off in your settings centre.
Welcome to the 25th release of the Train Sim Community website! In this release, a long standing feature request for content creators has been implemented: a Community tab. As seen on TV YouTube!
You can use the Community tab to share updates about projects you're working on, to gather ideas for new project, to ask for feedback, and so on.
Where can I find the Community tab?
The Community tab is available to all our content creators, you can find the tab on your profile page.
It's now possible to add dependencies which are hosted on external web sites to your submission, in a similar manner to how you add references to other mods hosted on this site. The references to externally hosted mods will then be listed in the 'Dependencies' section of a mod.
This suggestion was raised by community member TaskPlays via our feedback site.
The option to customise your user profile is now available on your account settings page. You can upload a custom background image for your profile header, set an introductory text, and write a long post about yourself if you so fancy.
Please note, our Terms of Use also apply to profile page customisations.
The 21st major release of this website has just gone live.
A fresh coat of paint has been introduced throughout the site. The new look will make the website more appealing, and adds some consistency in places where this was lacking.
Due to popular request on our feedback site, it's now possible to directly upload a profile picture to our website rather than having to set one through Gravatar. You can upload your profile picture via your Account Settings page.
Please note:
Recently, Google Chrome has started blocking downloads from this website as it considers them to be potentially malicious. The following warning gets displayed when trying to download a file:

Please be aware that this is a false positive, the files hosted on this website are game modifications and nothing other than that.
With release 1.19 of the website, which has just gone live, it's now possible to subscribe to a specific user. In addition to that, you can automatically star any mod you download from this site so you'll stay up to date.
By subscribing to a user, you will get a notification whenever they publish or update a mod on this website. You'll also get notified when they're listed as a collaborator for a mod.
Hi everyone,
You're now looking at version 1.18 of the TSC website. In this update, a new feature has been added which will be of benefit to those of you who jointly work on a project: you can now add collaborators to a mod.
The names of collaborators will be displayed on the mod detail page alongside the name of the mod owner. Collaborators will also get access to statistics, and they can submit requests to update or withdraw mods altogether.
With the recent 'summer update' for Train Sim World 2, also known as the 'Rush Hour update', Dovetail Games have updated the Unreal Engine which powers the game to a newer version (4.26).
Existing mods for TSW2 will have to be updated by their respective authors to be compatible with the new engine. Until this is done, mods which are distributed as a .pak file are unlikely to work with the game.
Reskins which can be installed via the Livery Manager tool are unaffected.
A few days ago, release 1.16 of this website has gone live. The amount of changes in this release is relatively modest, but there is one noteworthy feature: facets.
When you are viewing a category, or searching through the mods on our site, you will now see a sidebar (on mobile: above results) which allows you to further refine and narrow down the results. The data will improve over time as we add more data to the set.
Do you have an idea for facet which we should add? Please let us know! You can do so via our feedback site or via Discord.
